Announcement   An AMAZING opportunity has arisen as a result of my work in my shop, and my "boots on the ground" work. I have been offered an opportunity to travel to South Korea this summer to work in an English Language camp that serves refugees. This is my DREAM, and it is now time to make it happen. At this time, I've shifted gears to funnel all earnings to my "Send Me" campaign. To learn me, visit my blog at "SendMeMN" on blogger.

About

Striving to create change, starting with me.

About
My name is Kelly. I'm a wife, mother, artist...

This project (Palette and Purl) was born out of my long search to try and unravel the mystery of:

"WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?!?!?!?!"

At the apex of the 2012-2013 transition, I realized that I was feeling worn out, uninspired, and just down right lost. However, I really, REALLY want to be philanthropic. But on my meager income, which just barely supports my family, there was no way I could do this. And then, in a moment of personal despair, it hit me.

I am an artist. I can knit. I can paint. I can sew, I can create tatted lace, and I love to create. I have been given the gift of swift hands and a creative mind. And thusly, "The Palette and Purl" was born.

Through my efforts I will produce the absolute best, hand-crafted products I am capable of, dedicating a portion of the profits to an array of reputable organizations doing global work to provide clean water, education, health care, and human rights to those in need. I take deep pride in my work, pray/meditate about the effected organization and recipients during the creation of each piece, and sincerely hope that you will shop my work with confidence.

I am always open to questions and requests. Feel free to drop me a line any time.
