4 out of 5 starsI am in love with this cupboard. Every time I see it in my house, it makes me smile. I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 only because unfortunately as soon as I took it out of the packaging, the backing fell right off. I've chalked this up to the perils of vintage furniture. The shop was very responsive and I received the item (very well packaged I would note) very quickly once ordered, even with covid delays.

Boone's Antiques Gets Online!
Oh. Hi. We're the Boone family and we're really happy you're here.
For the last 60 years and up until not long ago, our dad and uncle had mostly been doing business the old fashioned way from the store our granddad built from the ground up on Highway 301 in Wilson. If you're not from the east coast (or the 1960's for that matter), Hwy 301 used to be the Vegas strip of the east coast before I-95 was built. Well, the antique business has changed dramatically over the years with the advent of the internet, rising gas prices, and the ever changing popularity of different genres. Even with the World's Best BBQ (yeah, we said it!!) less than a mile down the road, people just aren't making road trip expeditions to hunt for their favorite item like they have in years past.
Enter the younger Boones (that's us). We'd been watching this from the sidelines for years, brainstorming all sorts of ideas on how to make customers aware of the vast quantity of merchandise at Boone's available 24 hours a day at their fingertips. We knew we couldn't drive traffic to our website without thousands of marketing dollars, and we definitely didn't have the time to put all of our inventory online ourselves. Then some things changed.
Liza found a couple weeks to head back to the old hometown and photograph some of our inventory to get the ball rolling and then I, Zack, decided it was time to commit some energy after my day job to helping her. With a little nudge from Etsy, here we are!
We really hope you like what you see, and we'd love to hear from you. Thanks for taking a moment to stop by!

If you like, a little more history about our business...
Our dad, Edgar Boone, started Boone’s Antiques, Inc. in Wilson, North Carolina in the early 1950s. At the time he was a tobacco auctioneer; buying and selling antiques was just a small side business. But all that changed in 1961 when he went to England for the first time. While there, he discovered a whole new world in antiquing, and immediately saw the potential of buying and selling antiques in large quantities. As soon as he got back, he went to work expanding the business.
We opened branch stores in Kentucky, Virginia, and Georgia while adding more floor space to our main store. In 1970, we expanded our Wilson location again with two new warehouses and a cabinet shop. As we moved into the 21st century, we slowly began consolidating all the branch stores into our original location. When you visit our store in Wilson, you’ll find tens of thousands of antique furniture pieces and accessories- more than you could ever imagine.
The legacy that Edgar Boone created lives on with his sons, Tom and Doug (and online with Tom's children Zack and Liza), now running Boone’s with the same hard work, integrity, and knowledge of the business that has helped us grow into one of the world's largest antique wholesaler/retailers.
