Many years ago, Heather, was a stay at home Mum and she began making crafts for her own home. Always being delighted by fabric and having been sewing, knitting and crocheting most of her life, she wanted to fill her home with treasures that were only seen in magazines, not in shops where she lived. Heather had grown up in a crafty family where Mum, Gran and Aunties were always creating and was used to juggling caring for a home and children along with squeezing in the need to create. She began selling her work school fairs, where she was amazed at the interest and demand for her unique creations. The Patchwork Heart was then born and the rest is history!

Heather now retired from teaching fills her days with crochet, designing colour recipes and inspiring crocheters with step by step tutorials. She posts daily on Instagram and Facebook and runs a blog called The Patchwork Heart.
