Mari Toscas, MFA, is a four-time author, artist, poet, recovering cubicle worker, and twin and special needs mom of four with a wicked sense of humor. Her inspiration comes from the dark side of motherhood -- creating books, blankets, artwork, printed goods, and apparel that goes where nobody else wants to go -- shining a flashlight into the sticky unknown crevices of its couch to expose the fossilized remnants of mayhem and the mundane. Her Inspo comes directly from being a working mom of a motley crew of four kids: twins, three with special needs, (an overweight Puggle, hyperactive Boston Terrier, Ball Python named Snakey, diverse plant jungle including a Venus flytrap, and an eternal, Sisyphean pile of laundry affectionately dubbed "Mount Kill-A-Mom-Jaro").
As a mom with four children, three with autism and sensory needs, her biggest goal was to offer clothing and other items that are soft, sensory friendly, and durable. Everything has been created to be soft to the touch and with family in mind. That's why The Pine Torch clothing has eco-friendly, water-based inks that are embedded directly into the fibers so that the print has no feel to it. And why our blankets are soft yet slightly heavy, to help kiddos with sensory needs. From a mom to other moms.

5 out of 5 stars1st genuine crop top ever, the material feels nice and the sizing does stay true, there is a little bit of stretch but not much. The quality of the design doesn't feel artificial in a way that makes you feel like it wouldn't last long but it does feel like good quality that will last. Overall love it 😀

What is your current turnaround time?
Current turnaround time for your handmade clothing item(s) 3-5 business days.
Current turnaround time for blankets and some other items is 1-2 weeks.
This timeline is from when you order to when we put your item(s) in the mail and does not include shipping time. weeks. Please allow extra time around the holidays
What garments can designs be printed on?
All of our designs can be printed on:
Bodysuits
Infant tees, Toddler Tees, Unisex Tees, Slouchy Tees, Racerback Tanks, Slouchy Tanks, Pullovers,Tote Bags, Pillow Case Covers, Mugs, Tumblers, etc.

Custom and personalized orders
Yes! We can add names, dates, or even do completely custom work. Currently, our complete custom design work is closed due to order volume.
Care instructions
We use a direct-to-garment printer on all of our items, so the designs are embedded into the fibers of the garments and are exceptionally durable. That said, washing on cool and not using high heat on the dryer definitely helps with the durability of the garment.

How can I rush my order?
Currently, we are not offering rush options, but our overall turnaround time (especially for our printed garments) is super fast.
How long does it take to respond to my convo?
We try our best to answer convos as quickly as possible. We answer them in the order in which they are received, but please allow up to 48 hours for a response, as we do our printing/designing during the day. We answer convos Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm, and sporadically during the weekends. Please allow until the following Monday for a response if you have sent us a convo over the weekend, as we dedicate weekends to family. Thank you!
How can I check the status of my order?
Each piece we make is handmade to order by us! Our current production time is 1-2 weeks (not including weekends and holidays). If you have a custom order, it could take a little longer for us to design it for you.

Other Various Policies
Resale: We do not consent to, or allow, any of our goods (blankets, tees, etc.) to be resold in any form for business purposes - this includes seamstresses using blankets to resell for fabric, etc.. Any person found doing so will have their orders cancelled immediately.
Lost packages: Once we fulfill an item and provide tracking, the item and delivery is out of our hands. Occasionally packages get lost or delayed via USPS. We are not responsible for lost items or items marked delivered. That being said, if it is possible for us to offer a replacement, we may offer that option on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer refunds on lost packages.
