This is my second soft E Collar from Ashley at the Plaid Cardinal. The first order was for our German Shepherd and this one is for our tiny 7-pound Papillon. These collars are magnificent! They are adjustable, fit extremely well, and the dogs can maneuver easily with them on. The Papillon was more leery of putting the collar on, so it took some patience and treats to coax her into it, but eventually she accepted it. With this order, I just ordered "I just need a collar" as I had messaged Ashley that I was looking for a soft fabric, similar to the first E Collar I had ordered for our Shepherd. Ashley had it mailed out to me the next morning. She is an amazing seller who makes high quality products and has a great sense of urgency for the needs of her customers.

Ashley was so helpful, and this pillow e-collar is perfect! My dog is able to move around easily and relax. Even in his old plastic cone he could reach his tail and get hot spots, but in this one he can’t. He is a fairly large dog (almost 90lbs) so finding a soft cone was difficult, but this one fits perfectly and isn’t overly heavy. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a comfortable alternative to a traditional cone/e-collar!

We are very pleased with the e collars we purchased from The Plaid Cardinal. The quality is great, and it will be so much better than a cone for their upcoming neuter surgeries. We ordered a M for one of our dogs based on our measurements, but when it came it was too big. Ashley was absolutely wonderful about replacing it with a S, and gave us the M to donate to a rescue in our area. We would highly recommend The Plaid Cardinal based on quality, value and customer service.

Ashley was wonderful! She helped me pick the right size for my boxer dog. She’s quick at replying and has clear communication. The pillow e collar, as I called it, is so comfy for my dog! It’s much better than a hard plastic e collar. My dog has better sleep with the pillow e collar as it’s also a pillow for her! Although my dog is a boxer, she’s kinda small than other boxers, so the medium size fits her well.

The "cone" is great! My elderly dog likes it much better than the plastic one we had. Unfortunately she has very long legs and we are trying to keep her from chewing her nails on one of her back paws, she can still reach it even with the extra large cone. But, this is not because of the product, it is because she is just a very tall dog (she''s a boxer-lab mix) with long legs and is able to get to her paw because of the softness of the cone it allowed her to still get to her paw. It is well made and washed up great in the washing machine. Will definitely be used if our other dog ever needs a cone.

My Charlie loves his pillow/collar. He has to wear those hard plastic cones when I’m at work, but, as soon as I get home he gets super excited to put his soft cone on. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!! Thank you!!!!!

I reached out with a few questions prior to ordering and the seller was quick to respond and very helpful! Unfortunately, despite accurately measuring based on the specifications, the donut was unable to be used for a specific purpose. The vet put it on after the procedure, but we ended up with complications because it didn’t stop my puppy from reaching his incision shortly after the procedure. It wasn’t super wide in terms of circumference from the collar placement to the outside of the “donut”, so he was easily able to reach his stitches. He’s now in a plastic cone, because I’m hesitant to try an alternate solution in order to keep my puppy safe after surgery.

The soft collar that I purchased from ThePlaidCardinal is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I purchased it about a week ahead of surgery and coaxed our German Shepherd through the opening with a valuable treat and he took to it right away. He wore it for practice (treating each and every time we put it on or off) for a few hours a day the week before surgery. He then wore it 24 hours a day, for ten days, following surgery. The fit and construction are fabulous. He could even drink with it on without knocking over his water bowl. I never expected to be SO HAPPY with this item. Hands down the best purchase I have ever made! The funny thing is the dog still wants to wear it :)
