When our daughter Sophia was born, we were gifted a beautiful baby quilt from a loved one living in Vietnam. Over the first 6 months of her life, we used it daily. Picnics in the backyard, playing in the living room, or packing it up for an impromptu trip– our quilt was with us for each step of the way. It was peace of mind to keep Sophia safe from germs (HELLO first time parents!) and a way to move the party around wherever we went.

Once we learned about where the quilts came from, who created them and the mission behind them, we knew we wanted to get involved and expand their reach.

With previous work in micro-finance and a passion for making an impact in this world, we’re excited for the opportunity to partner with such an amazing organization, Mekong Quilts, that supports and uplifts the local community in so many ways.

The Quilt Project creates a sustainable way to support the local economy that wouldn’t rely on donations. We’re proud that every piece from The Quilt Project is created with love by incredible women in Vietnam and Cambodia, providing them with a fair salary.
