I'm open again and excited to share my new items!
Welcome to The Red Tin
Why " The Red Tin"?
The name comes from a red tin my Grandmother gave to me. It was filled with sewing notions, ribbons, vintage lace, and other treasures.
All my creations are made with love, while jamming to an eclectic mix of music and drinking tea, in my quaint little home. I enjoy making art dolls, sewing, quilting, felting, and all things fiber related. I find joy in colorful balls of wool, fabrics, yarn, threads, and exploring new techniques.
I also have a love of mail. It's a true love. What is better than getting something fun in your mailbox? Maybe, only hearing from your friend who got the cool mail art you sent. I still mail out letters, postcards, packages, and little pieces of art nearly every day to friends, family, and other mail art enthusiasts. That's how I got into carving my own stamps. I wanted to make mail art with special touches designed by me.
As you can tell by my picture, I also love exploring vintage shops for inspiration. Here I am about to dive into a crate of buttons! Pure bliss!
You can learn more about me, and my artwork, through my blog, too. I'd love for you to stop by.
See you soon. XO
I just moved to Indiana from the Pacific Northwest. Ready to see what my new home inspires me to do! I am constantly dabbling in new art mediums, but my real passion is all things fiber!
All items are handmade with care and I want you to be happy with your purchase.
Please feel free to convo me with any questions.
