Celebrating the joy and love our pets bring to our lives.

I am an artist and full time "rescue mom". I adopt senior/handicap dogs. The Misfit Manor Shop is born out of my love for these very special dogs. Life with special needs dogs brings clarity of purpose to each day; each day matters and we celebrate each day that everyone is healthy and happy. Every item in my shop is about celebrating the love and joy that these incredible dogs bring to my life.

I believe that each one of us is destined to walk a certain path...a path that is meant to rub the rough edges off of us as we mature emotionally and spiritually. For me that path turned out to be rescuing senior and handicap dogs. Each new dog that comes in to our home is part of that journey. I start off believing I am helping them...it always turns out they are here to teach me something. I feel a deep spiritual connection to animals and believe that our experiences with them are often the best glimpses into the mystery of grace that we can expect to see on this side of life.

I hope you enjoy browsing my store...everything here was inspired by a sweet dog and is meant to celebrate the love and joy that our pets bring to our lives.

Thank you for your interest in The Misfit Manor shop... where art and expression have become an important part of life's journey. A journey, that for me and my husband, is shared with a house full of senior and handicap and dogs.

We call our home Misfit Manor as most of the animals that live with us face challenges...either physical or behavioral. Everything I make is inspired by my love and appreciation for the dogs that live here. My shop is how I support my large and beautiful furry family.

There isn't a day that goes by that the animals don't give me a reason to pause and reflect on how simple it is for them to be joyful and excited about the little things. Joy is abundant and contagious in a house full of pets and my art is a way to share it with others.

I view The Misfit Manor Shop as an act of love and I see everything about my shop as a reflection of who I am as a person and a rescue mom. My customers are very important as anyone who buys handmade items is not just buying a physical object but also a piece of the artist's heart. I create, package and ship everything in my shop with great care. Feel free to browse my shop reviews for feedback on my products and customer service.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
I have a standard online refund policy. My customers are important to me and your satisfaction matters. If you are not satisfied with your item I will provide a full refund for the price of the item (excluding shipping) provided you return it to me in the same condition it was shipped to you in within 14 days. The buyer must pay return shipping.

If your item is damaged in shipping simply provide me with detailed photographs of the damaged item and packaging (within 14 days of receipt) and I will file a claim with the shipper and refund your money immediately.
Payment Policy:
I accept credit cards, debit cards, google wallet, Apple pay, paypal and etsy gift cards.
Payment must be made when your order is processed. I begin processing orders as soon as I receive payment.

Sales Tax:
I am a Kentucky based company therefore I do need to charge sales tax for any items sold in the state of Kentucky.
Once I am notified of your payment I will ship your item within 48 hours (Monday - Friday). Any orders I received on Friday after 3:00 p.m. will ship on Monday morning. I ship via USPS and FedEx Ground depending on the size and the number of items purchased. I use tracking confirmation for all items. I will notify you with the tracking information as soon as the item has shipped.

Please make sure that the shipping information you provide me with your order is accurate! I process and ship very quickly. Once your order is shipped to the address provided in your order there is nothing I can do if I have been given the wrong shipping information (and your order has already shipped). Please note that I cannot cancel an order that has already been shipped.

I take great care in packing your items to ensure everything arrives for you intact.
If you are in need of expedited shipping I offer shipping upgrades; if you don't see an upgrade for your item please send me a conversation through ETSY and I will arrange a listing for your upgraded shipping right away.

Lost Items: I ship every item with tracking and will provide tracking information to you when I ship. If an item is lost I will assist in the tracking process and do my best to resolve any issues. I will not provide refunds for shipments that USPS or FedEx tracking show as delivered.
Additional policies and FAQs
What are your shop hours?

For orders: The Misfit Manor Shop takes orders 24/7.
For questions: I respond to questions/conversations through Etsy Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Eastern time). I make every effort to respond to messages within an hour of receiving them. During peak holiday selling times I respond to messages within 24 hours.
For production: I work in my studio Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 p.m.
For Shipping: I process & ship orders Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 p.m. I ship my orders quite fast. For items that I have in stock I typically ship within 24 hours (Monday-Friday). I don't pack and ship on weekends. If you are placing a custom order I will discuss processing and shipping time with you individually.

Are all the items in your shop made by you?
Yes! I make all of my items myself in my home studio surrounded by my family of special needs dogs. During the holiday season my wonderful husband works with me to pack orders and prepare my shipping materials.

What size Pawty hat do I need?
I sell Pawty hats in two sizes; large and small. Small hats are appropriate for dogs 20lbs and under. Large hats are appropriate for dogs over 20lbs. My large size pawty hats are NOT the same size as a party hat you would by in the store. They are narrower in the base and taller.

How much table confetti do I need?
I recommend 1 pack of confetti per table if you are decorating the entire table with confetti. I recommend 1 pack for 2 tables if you are decorating only around a centerpiece on your table.

What if I have questions?
I am very responsive to conversations through Etsy. If you have a question on one of my items please know that I will respond to you as fast as I can. I don't discuss orders placed on Etsy outside of the Etsy conversation platform.

Do you take custom orders?
I am happy to take custom orders if there is enough lead time for me to get them accomplished. I have even produced pet themed favors for dog lover weddings! Custom orders require me to source supplies, design, make and ship (which can take several weeks). If you are looking for a custom order please send me a convo through Etsy and let's talk about what can be done!

How do you pack your orders?
I take great care in packing my items. I purchase quality shipping mailers and wrap all items in plastic within the shipping mailers.

Can I have you ship a gift directly?
Yes! If you are purchasing an item as a gift for someone else I would be glad to ship direct to your recipient. I can wrap it with pet themed materials and include a note from you. Please make sure you put any information, such as a note for your recipient, in your Notes to Seller when you check out.
