Haken als ontspanning betekent dat haken weliswaar een nuttige handwerktechniek is, maar niet bedoeld is om snel iets te produceren. Het is een langzaam proces, gedreven door liefde – de liefde voor het proces, de liefde voor het ambacht, de liefde voor degenen voor wie je iets maakt. Het kan niet door een machine worden nagebootst. Het is het werk van je handen, het tot rust brengen van je ziel, de kans om even stil te zitten en te ontspannen.
Deze patronen komen voort uit die rustgevende plek. Mijn winkeltje is klein, het ontwerpen en haken van patronen kost tijd. Ik wil dat deze patronen de rust weerspiegelen die ik ervaar wanneer ik tijdens het haken naar een goed boek, een inspirerende podcast of mooie muziek kan luisteren. Het doel is dat u daar hetzelfde plezier aan beleeft.
Crocheting for rest means that although crocheting is a useful Handicraft, it is not done for the timely producing of goods. It is a slow art, done for love - the love of the process, the love of the craft, the love that you hold for those you create for. It cannot be replicated by a machine. It is the work of your hands, the settling of your soul, the chance to sit still and find leisure.
These patterns come from that restful place. My shop is small, creating and crocheting patterns takes time. I'd like these patterns to reflect the peacefulness that I feel when I am able to listen to a good book, inspiring podcast or rich music as I stitch. The goal is that you would find the same enjoyment.
