One-of-a-kind project bags, made one scrap at a time.
I make quilts. A lot of them!
Since I was taught to “waste not, want not”, I save all my scraps of fabric. The tiniest pieces! Including all my cut off corners, trimmings, and bits of batting! Soon the scraps began to take over and I began to wonder what to do with them.
As a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, extra income for all the crafts that I love can be limited. You see, I don’t just quilt. I am a maker at heart.
I decided to combine two of my many crafty loves. Knitting and quilting. I think they go great together.
And so, ‘the scrappy thread’ was born!
One-of-a-kind project bags, made one scrap at a time. I only use beautiful, high quality quilting cottons, making use of scraps that may otherwise be tossed away.
My bags may feel different than a typical project bag because I treat my bags like a quilt. Using quilting batting for the stability, and then machine quilting each one.
Due to the nature of scraps, my bags may feel different from purchase to purchase due to the current materials I am working with.
This means that every bag is unique and will never be repeated.
I hope you enjoy your purchase and thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my scrappy lovin’ heart.
