About

Loving Vintage & Handmade

All of my life I've been drawn to the arts and producing pretty things from scratch. I'm a free spirited person, inspired by music, colors of nature and my rich heritage. I started collecting second hand (at 16) when I learned (and appreciated) about what my granny had, her antique dolls, lace, clothing, shoes and her 78 records. I followed Jackie Kennedy and (the Beatles) Pattie Boyd in the 60s & early 70s and still love fashion. I attended modeling and landscaping schools and was always an art major and took music/singing classes in junior and high schools. As a teen growing up at the beach in the 70s, I started making shell necklaces and found a bead store, made little treasures with my friends, took a tapestry class and fashioned a maxi jean skirt with remnants of old tapestries and bits of cloth, sewn by hand. I've always loved to stitch.

I use my vintage stash of beads and have steadily added many different mediums to what I use. With the help of my sister (leather works) and cousin (costumer), I quickly got inspired again to create and to sell my collections of vintage (I had another successful store on Etsy before this one). The most ideal thing is to sell at affordable prices like it used to be. I've always loved a good bargain and have worn some really great dresses (that I bought for less than 2 bucks back then) from the 40s, 50s and imports from India and Mexico (when Pier 1 sold clothing from places all over the world) are my favorite because of the hand beading and embroidery). I use many vintage/natural components in my work, and I hope you enjoy what I have to offer. Thanks for stopping in.
