Frequently asked questions
Where do you get your materials from?
The majority of my materials are recycled and found items. Most the sea glass comes from the beaches of Long Island, NY, and the shale and rocks come from Lake Michigan.
The non-found items are bought and then created by myself. Some of the non-found items include polymer clay, resin, gouache, and watercolor paints.
Can you make me a custom piece?
Yes! Please choose the Custom Art Design in my shop and checkout. Feel free to message me here or on Instagram @theselkieshoppe if you have a specific design in mind, or if you want to bounce ideas off me. I'll find something that works great for whatever event/person you are purchasing for.
Can I return my item?
Because of the unique nature of this shop, I do not accept returns. However, if there is a problem with your order, please contact me and I will do my best to help figure it out. If jewelry breaks within the first 14 days, I will offer you a free exchange, although it might not be the exact same piece as each item is created based on the materials at hand.
