A Collection of Vintage Fineries

The Silver Platter spawned from Classic Tableware, our original Etsy shop. My love for china, and serving pieces grew beyond everyday table settings. Soon I found myself entranced by silver and stemware. So much so, I opened a second Etsy shop for elegant occasions. Although these vintage pieces seem fanciful, it's fun to use them often.

We hope you visit all of our shops soon!

Accepted payment methods

Credit cards through Etsy's direct check-out, PayPal, and Etsy Gift Cards are our only methods of payment. We use these options because of the security for online payments. Once a payment is confirmed items will be shipped within one to three business days.

All taxes and duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Cancellations must occur prior to shipment.

We will reserve listings for 48 hours upon request. If the item isn't purchased within 48 hours, the reserve will be removed and made available for other shoppers.
Items are shipped via USPS Parcel Post and will include insurance and a tracking number. If you prefer another specific method for shipping at an additional cost, please let us know.

When more than one item is purchased we will combine the packing and ship the items in one box when possible. The cost of combined shipping is determined on the size and weight of the package. Shipping charges exceeding $1.00 above our quote will be refunded to you.

All items are packed securely to prevent breakage. We take care to double tape boxes with shipping tape when packing your vintage purchase. We often recycle clean corrugated boxes and bubble wrap for packaging. The reuse of these materials seem to go hand in hand in sustaining a resourceful lifestyle.

If your package is damaged or opened prior to delivery please email us as soon as possible! And, most importantly keep the damaged packaging and take photos of the item and packaging for insurance claims. Filing an insurance claim for a refund will require photos of the items and packaging.
Refunds and Exchanges
We strive to please our customers and ask that you contact us immediately if the object you ordered does not meet your expectations.

Refunds will be accepted if the item is returned undamaged within 10 days from delivery. Returned items must be packed very carefully to ensure damage will not occur during returned shipping. Customers are responsible for shipping and returned shipping costs.

Refunds will be processed once the item is returned and examined to ensure it is in the same condition when delivered to the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
We carefully research each object to determine the age and value of every item we list. All pieces in this collection has been in the care of others, and show variations of wear. We make every effort to describe and photograph the perfect imperfections we discover.

Vintage tableware often experience the following conditions:
• an unused appearance, which is very rare
• signs of use such as worn gold or platinum trim, or perhaps a slight stain
• utensil markings on plates or a bit of scratching on silver plate
• manufacturer imperfections such as crazing or glaze markings
• rugged vintage pieces may show a ding, a dent, a chip, pitting or a well earned crack

We love the past of our vintage pieces, especially when they show the richness of their history.
