I bought three hats-not cheap, but worth it. Superbly soft and dense, perfect natural colours. I guess for a beanie the rim/fold over could be a smidge longer, but maybe as the colours are individual you ran out of wool? Love them😊

Perfect….obviously this is a guy making hats for guys--great colors and simplicity. Quality all around. Thank you for the great craftsmanship and care.
My story is long and eclectic, but fiber art is one recurring theme.
Fiber art is one of several recurring themes in my life. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a small boy, I learned to spin a few years ago when I was raising alpacas, and somewhere along the way, I learned how to knit. Today, I focus on spinning alpaca and alpaca-based yarn blends, and knitting hats.
Owner, The Spinning Guy
Wisconsin farm boy turned Seattle bicycle advocate turned Oregon alpaca rancher turned Alabama computer geek and fiber artist. And yes, I left out a lot of steps and stages along the way.

Additional policies and FAQs
I do not offer volume discounts. I spin one strand at a time. I knit one item at a time. There is no volume discount in my hand-work process. Therefore, I do not offer a volume discount on my handmade items. I do, however, offer a break on shipping for multiple items.
My hats are made by hand and they need to be washed by hand as well. If you put your handspun, hand knit alapca garment in a washing machine, you are likely to end up with a lump of felt. Wringing, rubbing, and scrubbing wet alpaca fiber causes it to felt. Please hand wash, gently and DO NOT WRING. Dry flat or on a drying rack. The SPIN ONLY cycle of most washing machines is safe for removing extra moisture prior to rack drying, but RINSE AND SPIN makes felt.
