Hallo daar! Ik ben blij dat je hier bent in mijn kleine hoekje van creativiteit. Als gepassioneerd pottenbakker maak ik al mijn stukken rechtstreeks vanuit mijn gezellige thuisstudio, waar je een paar wielen, een platenwals, drie ovens en een schat aan gereedschappen en glazuren vindt die mijn hart doen zingen! Mijn reis in de wereld van keramiek is een spannend avontuur geweest en ik kan niet wachten om het met je te delen.
Mijn achtergrond ligt in modeontwerp, technologie en zaken, maar mijn ware liefdesaffaire is altijd bij aardewerk geweest. Tijdens mijn reizen heb ik verschillende vormen van kunst en cultuur verkend, maar er is iets aan keramiek dat me altijd terugbrengt. Het is fascinerend om te bedenken dat aardewerk al sinds het begin deel uitmaakt van de menselijke geschiedenis en de verhalen vertelt van stammen en culturen door de eeuwen heen. Ik werd voor het eerst geïntroduceerd in de archeologieles met de term "sprekende scherven", en het opende mijn ogen voor hoe deze fragmenten klei zoveel kunnen onthullen over ons verleden.
In de loop der jaren heb ik mijn vaardigheden aangescherpt door te leren van veel getalenteerde pottenbakkers die mij onderweg hebben geïnspireerd. Nu ben ik enthousiast om mijn eigen creatieve stem te ontwikkelen en ik ben dankbaar voor de kans om mijn unieke creaties met u te delen. De natuur en haar prachtige wezens inspireren mijn werk vaak en weerspiegelen mijn avontuurlijke geest. Of het nu gaat om wandelen, kajakken, vliegvissen of vogels kijken met mijn man, de geweldige buitenlucht voedt mijn verbeelding.
Elk stuk dat ik maak, begint als een vonk van een idee, dat transformeert in een schets en vervolgens evolueert naar een zorgvuldig gepland prototype. Ik maak vaak 5-6 stukken in een serie, waarbij ik elk stuk onderweg verfijn en perfectioneer. Het creatieve proces is mijn geluksplek, en soms raak ik er zo in verstrikt dat ik de tijd vergeet, en zelfs de prachtige zonsopkomsten en -ondergangen mis!
Voedselveiligheid:
Wees gerust, al mijn aardewerk is voedselveilig (tenzij anders vermeld), ovenbestendig en vaatwasserbestendig. Ik raad echter aan om het met de hand af te wassen voor de beste verzorging.

Hello there! I'm thrilled to have you here in my little corner of creativity. As a passionate potter, I create all my pieces right from my cozy home studio, where you’ll find a couple of wheels, a slab roller, three kilns, and a treasure trove of tools and glazes that make my heart sing! My journey into the world of ceramics has been an exciting adventure, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
My background is in fashion design, technology, and business, but my true love affair has always been with pottery. Throughout my travels, I've explored various forms of art and culture, but something about ceramics always calls me back. It’s fascinating to think that pottery has been a part of human history since the very beginning, telling the stories of tribes and cultures through the ages. I was first introduced to the term “talking shards” in archaeology class, and it opened my eyes to how these fragments of clay can reveal so much about our past.
Over the years, I’ve honed my skills by learning from many talented potters who have inspired me along the way. Now, I’m excited to develop my own creative voice, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my unique creations with you. Nature and her beautiful creatures often inspire my work, reflecting my adventurous spirit. Whether hiking, kayaking, fly fishing, or birdwatching with my husband, the great outdoors fuels my imagination.
Each piece I create starts as a spark of an idea, which transforms into a sketch and then evolves into a carefully planned prototype. I often craft 5-6 pieces in a series, refining and perfecting each one along the way. The creative process is my happy place, and I sometimes get so wrapped up in it that I lose track of time, even missing the stunning sunrises and sunsets!

Rest assured, all my pottery is food-safe (unless noted otherwise), oven-safe, and dishwasher-safe. However, I recommend hand washing for the best care.
