The Brass Paperclip Project started as an experiment in 2007. I was a newlywed with a new baby and had put my career on hold to stay at home with my new little bundle of joy. Feeling antsy and lacking a creative outlet, I hatched my business in the dark of night...very spontaneously...fingers crossed that my friends and family wouldn't think I was crazy. I rationalized that it was just an experiment. No harm in trying, right? The shop took off right away and soon I was very busy with a new baby and a new business. I had to close my shop in 2013 for personal reasons, but am happy to be bringing it back in 2021.

Why the name Brass Paperclip? As I sat at my desk in the wee hours...sleep deprived and weary...setting up my Etsy shop for the first time, I had no idea what to name my business. Looking around for inspiration, my eyes landed on a brass paperclip. Voila! I've always liked them and think they are kind of elegant...for paper clips.

The Brass Paperclip Project has evolved from it's experimental beginnings and has settled into a nice groove as a vintage inspired, eco-friendly bridal boutique featuring a mix of vintage and hand-made accessories.

With each new design, I'm working hard to incorporate more recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials...proving with each piece that sustainable luxury is a viable option for today's modern brides.
