Hello there! I'm Suzanne Furtado and I live in beautiful Bangalore, India with my two darling men; my wonderful friend & husband and our superhero son. For as far back as I can remember, I've had some creative bees or the other, persistently buzzing in my head. I fell more deeply in love with my boyfriend (also the husband now, yes that went well, didn't it ;) ) back when he recognised that I was made for a creative career path. I found exactly that; giving those bees a free rein, and have been by far the happier for it.

I am an absolute bookworm, and as a child I wanted nothing more than a book. Seriously, I'd get upset when people came with any other presents for my birthdays, and would tell my Mum to please let everyone know in advance that I just wanted books :D I think I get my creative genes from my dearest Mum most definitely and they've been sharpened by an imagination that's been running riot with all those books for quite a while now.

I work with a lot of varied ideas and inspiration. Am thrilled that The Squiggle Tree lets me explore my love for color and whimsy at a whole new level. The design process is for me the biggest high for me. It's a treat thinking up new ideas, jotting down loads of scribbles in my little brown book and also another umpteen notes on my computer. Sometimes I start creating my designs after I've had the ideas wander around a bit in my mind's eye, and sometimes I have an epiphany where I instantly start to create a new design without any aforementioned scribble or note!
