I have been actively collecting still banks for over 35 years.
Alles begann mit einem Ausflug in ein antikes Einkaufszentrum mit meiner Schwester, um einen Schreibtisch für meine erste Wohnung zu finden. Ich kam nicht mit einem Schreibtisch nach Hause, aber ich fand eine George Washington Mount Vernon Souvenirbank und eine kleine schwarze sichere Bank mit einem Hund. Meine Sammlung wuchs im Laufe der Jahre langsam und 1994 wurde ich Mitglied des Still Bank Collectors Club of America. Im Vor-Internet-Zeitalter war es schön zu wissen, dass es andere Sammler gab. Ich bin stolz darauf, im Vorstand dieser großartigen Organisation zu dienen.
TheStillBankStore wurde ins Leben gerufen, um neuen und erfahrenen Sammlern einen Marktplatz für den Kauf von Vintage-, Original-Stillbanken zu bieten. Alle Banken in meinem Geschäft haben keine Ersatzteile, Neulackierungen oder Reparaturen. Qualitativ hochwertige Banken kosten etwas mehr, aber sie behalten ihren Wert und müssen nie modernisiert werden. Ich hoffe, dass neue Sammler lernen werden, rostige, kaputte, reproduktionsbedingte und qualitativ minderwertige Banken zu vermeiden.

It all started with a trip to an antique mall with my sister to try and find a desk for my first apartment. I didn't come home with a desk but I did find a George Washington Mount Vernon souvenir bank and a small black safe bank with a dog. My collection slowly grew over the years and in 1994 I became a member of the Still Bank Collectors Club of America. In the pre-internet age it was nice to know there were other collectors out there. I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors of this fine organization.
TheStillBankStore was started to provide new and experienced collectors a marketplace to purchase vintage, original still banks. All the banks in my shop have no replacement parts, repaints, or repairs. High quality banks cost a little more but they hold their value and never need upgrading. I hope new collectors will learn to avoid rusty, broken, reproduction, and poor quality banks.
