Announcement   💙💙💙Hi! I'm Stacey. I'm so glad you've decided to stop and take a look at my little studio. I am an actual store in a tiny airstream-like trailer. The trailer is located in a very Eco-conscious and environmentally friendly outdoor center called The Camp located in Costa Mesa (So Cal) It is only a few miles from my Hometown of Huntington Beach, California. I hope you find something here that makes you smile . Stop by often. I create every day either at The Studio or from my home (BOTH IN SUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL CALIFORNIA) where I use a torch to create glass. I also hand make all the fine silver creations you find here. Every piece of jewelry I design is unique, as I never make the same thing twice. It's good to know that just like you yourself, the jewelry you wear is completely original.

I love the varied materials, the colors, and craftsmanship. My only suggestion for this vendor more generally is to include a full-size photo of the pieces and provide information on dimensions. Otherwise, really beautiful work.

About

My life of jewelry

A little about me…….

I grew up in a place I believed was magical. Funny thing is, I still believe Orange County, California is magic. More specifically Huntington Beach. We lived less than 2 miles from the beach at a time when our little house cost $14,000. The beach was a second home, hanging out all summer tanning and boogie boarding. In the spring we went grunion running and in the winter clam digging. Knotts Berry Farm was free and Disneyland was 15 minutes away.

Huntington Beach was a cultural mix of beach and boho. Folk and Rock. My school years were in the 60’s and 70’s and I have pictures of myself wearing my bell bottoms, straight blonde hair down my back, and my self made jewelry of wood, ceramics and african trade beads.

When I was about 10 I fell in love with a tiny little bead store in Los Angeles. Every time my family made a trip to L.A. to eat at their favorite deli I begged to go into this odd store. I would come home with little plastic tubes of seed beads, African Trade beads, wood and ceramic beads with the zodiac on them. I spent hours in my room listening to the radio, arranging the beads and playing with whatever pet hamster was alive at the time. Every summer we attended the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach and that was where I became fascinated with the man in the cage. He blew glass and played with fire and I could have stared into that cage for hours. I fell in love with glass.

After high school, in the 80’s I found a cool bead store in Laguna and they sold glass beads that looked very much like the glass I had fallen in love with. They were expensive but I would buy one anytime I could afford it.

I learned how to make glass beads about 10 years ago. I have been silversmithing about the same length of time. I studied under some of the most accomplished silversmiths and fine silver designers in the field. Without formal training, I design from the heart, putting my silver components with the gorgeous glass I love to melt and form. I love every aspect of jewelry making and have been doing it for 40 years now! It’s important to me that each piece be one of a kind and designed to last a lifetime. Equally as important is having my art reflect the things I have loved my entire life – the beach, music and beautiful rich color. I hope you find a bit of yourself in the stories I tell through my jewelry. I want you to feel some of the magic I feel when I create these pieces and wear them with happiness. Make them yours and enjoy the good vibes.
