I wanted to find a modern version of this late 60s style dress for my wedding and ended up finding this beautifully designed vintage dress. The quality is exceptional (real silk, not poly) and it's in great condition. It also fit me perfectly. I'm so excited about this purchase. Fawn was very helpful in answering my questions before ordering and the package arrived within a few days and on time.

I have decades of experience in the design, costume, and antique fields. Now I want to share my passion and what I find...with you.
I am a one person business with huge support at home and worldwide. All the pictures and descriptions are done solely by me, but I do have an accountant to keep me grounded.
I have been working out of a little bedroom in our home and have now grown to the point of taking over all the rooms in the house. It is an addiction to beauty and good design. Coming up this summer, I will be moving into a building on our homestead that has a loft, sewing space and great windows. I am so excited! I will be opening up my doors to clients who are looking for a very personable experience on the prairie, in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Also known as Minnesota.
My budget does not include the best of the very best, but I feel there are very few budgets out there that do. So I only purchase what I would wear and charge what I would be willing to pay. My own wedding dress cost $800.00 on sale in the 80's and was all lace. It was quite the bargain and that is what I hope you find in my shop.
If there is something you are looking for I can try to find it for you. I have buyers (shoppers who are willing to spend my money) in Sweden, Germany, Australia, Milan, New York, Florida, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Fargo, Seattle, Texas, Phoenix, San Francisco, and San Diego, , . And we all love a good search and find shopping trip.
I do custom orders, but only a few per year, that way each client has my sole attention.

Vintage is Found By the Pond On the Prairie Behind TheTealDoor
* All the needlework and sewing are done by myself unless it is a stated a "vintage" find.
* I try to research all my "vintage" finds to authenticate their origin and many of my clothing items are upcycled from designer names/stores, or they are vintage items that I remember/own from my past.
* My Bridal line is either vintage or made from vintage laces and therefore is OOAK and sizing is made according to supplies available at the time of creation.
* Please keep in mind that "vintage" means 20 years or older, it's hard to be pristine even if stored and never worn for that long. Please look at all the pictures and read the descriptions carefully.What is not stated may be pictured and vice versa.
* I would like to thank my family and all my clients for the encouragement they have given me in this endeavor.

CANCELLATIONS must happen before I print shipping labels, otherwise shipping fees will not be refunded.
PAYMENT PLANS: are on an individual basis. Payment plans will "usually" be established according to 3 or 4 scheduled installments within 4 to 6 weeks. There will be no shipping of an item until the item is fully paid for.
**If no payment is made within agreed set payment date then dress/prior payment(s) are forfeited by buyer. I do try to contact you prior to cancelling the sale and not refunding prior payments.
*ALTERATIONS are the responsibility of the customer. Listings do not include
*Once alterations have begun, seams are opened or dress is not in listed original
condition, buyer is responsible for time, labor, and materials associated with the item and labor,( fees for labor vary $20.00 - $25.00 per hour), even if buyer cancels sale. *Alterations will be set up as individual listings or noted on custom orders.
*No alterations will be done to an item before the item is fully paid (the sum total of all
installments) unless pre-arranged before sale.
*Once an item is altered from it's original listed condition and shipped to buyer, it is non-returnable, as are any fees associated with alterations and prior payments. My return policy allows you to buy the dress and try it before requesting alterations. Alterations are always better to do closer to your home.
*Breakable and higher priced items must be insured at the cost to the buyer.
***SHIPPING FEES are the responsibility of the buyer and some listings have the excess shipping fees calculated into the listing price. Shipping fees listed are at a reduced rate. Actual shipping and handling fees accrued are not refunded on returns.
*** DOMESTIC packages ship almost every business day; certainly within 2 business days. I can expedite shipping if you need it on a rushed basis. Shipping upgrades are now offered on the item purchase page.
***INTERNATIONAL: TheTealDoor is not responsible for any loss of package or item outside of the United States if buyer does not use Priority shipping with insurance. Buyer is responsible for knowing their country's policies.
***I am happy to ship internationally; Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs charges/taxes/duties that may be incurred. I have no way of knowing what other countries charge for import duties. Please be sure that you are aware of your country's custom charges before placing an order; I do not reimburse customs charges nor do I accept returns due to customs charges.
IT IS ILLEGAL TO CLAIM "GIFT" ON MERCHANDISE. PLEASE DO NOT ASK!
***Any item shipping outside the U.S. over 4 pounds, cannot ship First Class and some countries do not ship Parcel Post. In this circumstance the buyer must use upgraded options. These heavier items must ship as a form of Priority Mail. I will always opt for the least expensive option unless requested otherwise. If you do not choose the appropriate option at the time of purchase, I will notify you and request the funds for upgrading or cancel the sale.
DO NOT REFUSE A PACKAGE. IN DOING SO THE PACKAGE IS NOT SCANNED ON IT's RETURN AND THERE IS NO VERIFICATION OF IT's WHEREABOUTS.
Refunds and Exchanges
I ANSWER EMAILS SEVERAL TIMES PER DAY.
Regretfully, I CANNOT REFUND SHIPPING FEES that are added into your purchase price, to know the exact shipping cost of your item just contact me. Listed shipping prices are at a discounted price and when returning an item you will not receive the TOTAL COST OF THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING FEES, Nor will you pay for inflated shipping .HONEST PRICES ARE MY POLICY.
RETURN NOTIFICATION will be ACCEPTED UP TO 7 DAYS AFTER AN ITEM IS SCANNED AS DELIVERED TO YOUR ADDRESS, unless other arrangements are made prior to purchase. I am not responsible for you not being home or not picking up your package. Please take your schedule into consideration, I will delay shipping on a purchased item if needed. RETURNS MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE TEAL DOOR, WITH PRIOR NOTIFICATION, WITHIN 14 DAYS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE or 14 days from a delayed shipping date, unless other arrangements are made prior to purchase. This allows 7 days for shipping the item back to me. On the 14th day, accounting disburses funds and pays fees, after that the funds are no longer available for returns. They are very firm about this policy. I am willing to adjust my policies prior to sales but accounting is not.
PRIOR NOTIFICATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ARE REQUIRED BEFORE RETURNING AN ITEM. DO NOT MAIL THE RETURN AND THEN NOTIFY ME. Failure to give notification will result in paying a $10.00 fee. This is the only return fee that I charge, and it only happens with failure on the buyers part. I am not always at the shop to receive packages and I will not be responsible for lost or stolen items that I am not expecting. YOUR NOTIFICATION and MY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ARE REQUIRED PRIOR TO SHIPPING A RETURN. RETURN SHIPPING WILL BE PAID BY BUYER and ITEM(s) MUST BE INSURED UPON RETURN SHIPPING.
CREDIT for returns will be applied after the item is received and inspected for original shipped/listed condition. NO ITEM IS RETURNABLE IF WORN OR USED BEFORE RETURNING. Normal "trying on" of an item is understandable,ITEMS ARE NON-RETURNABLE IF TAGS ARE REMOVED. Item must be returned in original condition as shipped and as listed. Credit will be given only in the same form as the item was paid.
