Is it weird to say we're passionate about mugs?

Maybe so – but it’s true! Mugs have endless uses: coffee or tea, cocoa for the kids (or the kid inside of us), soup or chili bowl, cereal dish, ice cream container, pen holder! Is there anything a coffee mug CAN'T do?!? Probably, but it isn’t polite to remind them of their shortcomings.

The Hold Fastery is run by a playful husband-and-wife team and we’re big enthusiasts of living with heart and LOTS of LAUGHTER! Life is best with a sprinkle of sarcasm and a smidgen of inspiration – and we love combining these both in our mugs, which we dream, design, sublimate, package, and ship all from our home office in TX, using the highest grade materials to give you a lifetime of enjoyment!

WHY MUGS?

As a child, Brittney’s mama had a firm belief that a kitchen’s coffee mugs should not match – they should be varied pieces that spoke to you! The idea of punctuating your day with the joy that a silly or motivating mug can bring was quickly embraced by Sean, and our kitchen became no exception when we married back in 2007. Combine this with the fact we are both self-proclaimed “Quote-a-holics” and it only made sense that when we decided to launch a business we could share, we would find ourselves here!

THE HOLD FASTERY

Raised by the water in CA and WA, you could say the sea runs in our blood (the sea and a lot of caffeine)! Our shop namesake is a play on the nautical mantra to "hold fast" - to hang tight, even in the roughest of seas, so as to not be thrown over and lose your way. It pays homage to our life philosophy of putting a sense of purpose, heart, and integrity into everything we do -- thus our shop is no exception!

This is why we package/gift-wrap our mugs in recycled materials and donate 10% of our profits to charity – we’re particularly fond of animal and child welfare organizations! Have a 501(c) non-profit that you’re looking to add a mug fundraiser to? Please contact us, we’d love to assist!

We take pride in all we do and are so grateful that we are able to share our goods with so many wonderful people around the world - nothing is a greater compliment than a repeat customer!

DOWN TIME TIDBITS

When we’re not engrossed in all aspects of running The Hold Fastery, Brittney works in finance by trade and Sean is chief child wrangler as a very proud stay-at-home papa! We share our world with two tiny humans, six special-needs rescue pets, and a DVR full of Disney cartoons + zombie shows. We thrive on good senses of humor, coffee with real cream, library cards, family time, golfing, and as many escapes to Disneyland as we are able!

As a reminder, you do not need to have a PayPal account to pay using PayPal. If you have any purchasing questions, please ask!
Shipping
► CURRENT PRODUCTION TIME: 1-3 business days.

► We ship to the address listed in "Ship To" at checkout, so if this is not where you want your order mailed, CLEARLY list where to ship your order in the "Notes to Seller" box when checking out. We are not responsible for reimbursing or replacing items shipped to the wrong address due to buyer error.

► USA ORDERS: We utilize USPS Priority Mail (typical delivery in 2-4 days) to keep shipping costs as low as possible for you. All domestic orders come with insurance, tracking, & delivery confirmation. Shipping time depends upon the service you select at check-out and we are not responsible for delays once the order has been placed in the care of the USPS.

► FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS (including Canada): Dependent upon your location, USPS shipments can take anywhere from 10-40 days. Buyer is responsible for any customs/taxes per your country and we are not responsible for delays once the order has been placed in the care of the USPS.

► Multiple Items: The discount in shipping applied to multiple items within the same order is only available if the order is going to a single location. Orders being shipped to multiple locations will need to pay full-price shipping for each location.
Refunds and Exchanges
Your happiness is VERY important to us! We politely request that you reach out to us with any issue or concern before leaving negative feedback so that we have a chance to set things right. Please remember that placing an order means you agree to our store policies.

CANCELLATIONS
► Because each item is made to order ASAP, we cannot accept cancellations once payment has been received.

STORE ERRORS
► We take great care to ensure your order is correct before shipping. If you should receive an order with an error, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can rectify the error ASAP. A photo of the incorrect shipment may be required prior to resolution of buyer's choice (replacement order or refund minus shipping cost).

DAMAGED ITEMS
► Our items are packed with care and shipped with insurance – on the rare chance that your order arrives with damage, PLEASE SAVE the broken item for filing your claim, as the USPS often asks that the damaged item be brought into the post office for insurance claims. The buyer must file the claim to be reimbursed, but please let us know if we can assist your claim in any way. https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm
► We are not responsible for damage caused during opening of the item, so please be careful (especially because mugs can be slippery)!

REFUNDS and EXCHANGES
► We currently accept exchanges provided we are contacted within 48 hours of delivery of the order and the items are returned in new condition. Shipping for the returned item(s) and for the new item(s) are the responsibility of the buyer.
► Items that contain customization/personalization are not eligible for exchanges.
► Refunds are only offered due to store errors.
► Each mug is made to order and printed by hand. Please allow slight variations from our digital mock-ups.

We support a set number of custom designs each month and will gladly reply with the current turn-around time.
