The Urban Smith started small, but has become mighty.

I began the brand very grass roots, lots of samples to friends, lots and lots of trade shows, and many late nights! After hitting the road in LA, Chicago, and one very successful Fab.com sale the brand has been growing like crazy! I have had some great press with blogs, celebrity shots, and even a direct celebrity endorsement from Aisha Tyler herself.

All products are handmade in my little studio in California. I design and create all the cards, graphics, branding, photography, web design, and my talented husband helps with my wood displays.

The heart of my business is my Gold Name Plate Necklaces. I have made a name for the brand offering custom 14K Gold Filled Name Plates in a range of styles and finishes. I have grown the Nameplate business into Rings, Bracelets, and Earrings.

Each gold bar is hand cut, each letter is hand stamped, and each piece is all hand assembled by me in San Francisco. Each bar, chain, and clasp are Solid 14K GF and are all made in the USA. No bar is exactly the same, and the sky is the limit on what you want to say.

The Urban Smith is a brand forged from creativity and delicate simplicity, with a little bit of a naughty streak. The pieces have an everyday ease that allow today's woman to tell her story with an absence of complication. Everything is hand made in the USA, and all items are created in my studio in California.
