5 out of 5 starsI met Maisie at the Punk Rock Flea Market in Philly a couple weeks ago and we talked for awhile about their art. She is literally the sweetest person ever, and SO talented! I didn’t have the money on me at the flea market to buy this beautiful lamb print that I absolutely fell in love with, but the very first thing I did when I got paid was go on Etsy to to buy it lol. It shipped out super fast and came packaged carefully, with a lovely handwritten note. I cannot wait to get this framed and hang it up in my living room! I can’t stop looking at it and smiling, thanks so much, Masie!

5 out of 5 starsThis woodcut by the amazing young artist, Maisie O'Brien, is magnificent. I did linoleum prints in high school, so I understand about 1/100th of how much work a woodcut like this is. I explained to my wife how everything that is printed was what was NOT cut away and how difficult it is to carve a work so intricate as "The Prince." I love the title borrowed from Machiavelli's book of the same name: "A prince is forced to know how to act like a beast. He must learn from the fox and the lion because the lion is defenseless against traps, and a fox is defenseless against wolves . . . one must be a fox in order to recognize traps and a lion to frighten off wolves." Are the fox and the lion getting ready to dance or lock into a life or death fight? Wonderful!
