Awesome! The bow is really well made, attached to a nice headband and looks so cool on. Can't wait to wear it whenever I'm going out.
TVV in a Nutshell
Born in the whimsical imagination of British Designer Vanessa-Tiffany in 2008, The Velvet Village has become a cult bespoke fashion accessories supplier in England's underground fashion circuit. Supplying the likes of the catwalk shows in CLOTHES SHOW LONDON and CLOTHES SHOW LIVE (Europe's largest fashion event) in 2010 and exhibiting at 'Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model' Live event in 2011, as well as collaborating with Lime Crime Makeup, international Pinup sensations such as Masuimi Max, Sabina Kelley and Mosh, exquisite Alt models such as Raquel Reed, Sohui, Koneko, Mandy Murphy, Audrey Kitching, Jessica LaBlanche and Miss Holly Cakes to name but a few and incredible stylists, magazines and photographers, even bands, The Velvet Village is certainly spreading it's velvety goodness around the world.
What a lot of people may not know about The velvet Village is it's a 'One-woman-army'. Vanessa-Tiffany is the force behind every aspect of 'TVV'. Not only are the creations, from odd skull earrings to spiked Mini Mickey hats, handmade by her, paintings lovingly hand painted, but all networking and correspondance, marketing and selling of every item is all done by her. She even styles and photographs some of the models herself! If you make an enquiry, Vanessa responds, if you send a Tweet, Vanessa tweets back. It's her mission to make your Velvet Village experience as personal as possible. Well, that, and "to decorate every Velveteen Vixen and dandy Pimpernel Gent in the world!".
Over the last year Vanessa has secretly been slaving away on TVV's very first Men's Collection. It's been a slow process of sourcing fabrics, coming up with unusual but wearable designs and finding the right faces to represent The Velvet Village. Vanessa has handpicked her male models from Canada, Italy and the UK so far, again making it a global affair. She even scouted her own local 'Man of The Velvet Village' whom she affectionately nicknamed 'Supermodel'. Expect to see some cool patterns and prints in The Men's Collection in the form of scarves, snoods, cravats and Colonial Ties. Vintage jewellery and Bolo Ties have been sourced to offer something rare and exclusive to the more style conscious fella. This collection as a whole, has been heavily influenced by Vanessa's favourite films and music such as 'The Lost Boys' with a heavy 'Led Zeppelin style' injection of rock n roll. Stay tuned for the grand reveal of The Men's Collection coming very soon.
