*Vintage & handmade items offer things you need to live well: sustainability, simplicity and a sense of human connection. In other words, soul.

*My childhood was spent crossing back and forth between the San Francisco Bay Area urban lifestyle of my parents and the rope 'em ride 'em north country cattle ranch of my grandparents. Turns out, those experiences laid the foundation for an enduring love of mixing it up between the refined and the rustic.

*In the 1970s, I studied at Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design & Color in San Francisco. My initial emphasis on interior design gave way to broader studies {a love of glass, color & light} which led to over two decades spent designing and building architectural stained glass windows. In my art and in my life I am attracted to the sense of mystery and depth that is created by combining unexpected and found objects with the more classic and traditional.

*I like the idea that our homes, like our lives, are assembled in layers. There is great satisfaction in collecting pieces that strike just the right note, that bring up the very best of feelings. To respect where you've been, to find balance, to arrange and embellish the best of who you are and what you have is an art.
