I am a Scottish artist based in Glasgow. My inspiration comes from the natural world and the land.
I paint and draw Scottish Landscape, floral landscape, birds, insects, animals and landscape from the imagination. My main aims with my paintings are to create light, air and atmosphere. I endeavour to create a sense of being in the space.
I want the viewer to be able to mentally place themselves in the land to get away from the everyday grind of every day life and find a sense of peace.
I work primarily in soft pastel and oil pastel, but I also work in other media including charcoal, pencil drawing, watercolour and ink.
