Welcome to The Wooden Attic! It is our policy to make your purchase a pleasant one in hope that you'll spread the word about our product and perhaps return again yourself. We do our best at being green by using recyclable materials for packaging when we can, and enviromentally safe finishing materials on our products. Almost all lumber used in our products are salvaged and we believe in good forest management practices.

Payment
Payments: We prefer Etsy Direct Checkout as an electronic payment but the billing address must be the same as the shipping address.

Cancellation: If for some reason you need to cancel an order you must get in touch with us before the item is sent. After the item is sent you will have to pay for return shipping. The reason we have to charge return shipping is it deters buyers from test driving our products for free. Please call (920) 365-6185 for a quick contact or send us a convo through Etsy which we check throughout the day. If we don't answer the phone please leave a message stating your reason.
Taxes: Wisconsin residents will be taxed at their zip code tax rate. Sorry, it's the law.
Shipping
We use USPS (United States Postal Service) for most shipping as they are the most reliable. Normally we'll ship the next day if the item is in stock. Bulky items may be sent by UPS or FEDEX and will ship out within three days. In any case the shipping address must be the same as the billing address unless you arrange with us.

Orders over $150 will require a signature. Please make arrangements to have someone available for signing. The delivery address must be the same as the address listed at etsy unless we've agreed on special arrangements.

Shipping times: Please note that all transit times are accurate reliable estimates by the USPS but not guaranteed delivery times. If you need a guaranteed shipping method please contact us first to make the arrangement. The Wooden Attic does not reimburse shipping charges for late deliveries caused by couriers. If you're in a hurry to get your package please select a quick shipping method during checkout.

International buyers: All customs, over the border and VAT charges are the responsibility of the buyer. Please check with your country's proper office to determine what your extra charges may be when your package arrives.
Refunds and Exchanges
General returns: Buyer may return an item within 7 days after the delivery date for any reason unless it has personal details permanently attached which we can't accept a return because we won't be able to resell the item, (with the exception of our round ring box and cribbage boards, please see below). Please hold on to all packaging material. The item must be undamaged and in new condition to receive a full refund of product price including Wisconsin taxes but excluding any shipping charges. Please contact us for the return address.

No refunds for customs, VAT or duty taxes. Buyer is responsible for trackable return shipping including insurance cost. Please use USPS shipping. They pick up for free during your mail delivery and have a great delivery record and you can print a shipping label and schedule a pickup at the following link: https://tools.usps.com/go/ScheduleAPickupAction!input.action
Or if you don't want to schedule a pickup and download your own postage label online you can take the package to your local US Post Office and they will help you with a label.

Refunds for round ring boxes and cribbage boards with removable medallions: We will issue refunds for these items but must deduct $10 for the personalized details. Shipping costs are not refundable, sorry.

Refunds will be given when the item is received at our location and will be in the same monetary form as received.

In the event your item/s arrive damaged or are lost in shipping please contact us ASAP with details of the problem so we can get a replacement out to you quickly. Chances are we will have to build a replacement item for you. If your purchase was insured against loss or damage during shipping it will be replaced free of charge including shipping cost.
Additional policies and FAQs
Door harp guarantees: Door harps are guaranteed for a period of one year from the purchase date. If a door harp should fail due to a manufacturing defect we will replace or repair the harp to new condition free of charge to the original purchaser.
Ring boxes: We don't accept returns on the Rustic Ring box or Rustic Rose ring box because they contain your personal information permanently attached to the box. We do accept returns on the round ring boxes but have to deduct
