The Woods Secret Garden does beautiful work. Their designs are incredible. I loved being able to purchase HESED necklaces many times, both for myself and to give as gifts. My most recent purchase was K.I.D.S. Dolls for which 50% of the profits go to a ministry that helps rescue kids from the human trafficking industry. The dolls are beautifully crafted and I was able to have input into their designs. There are also special touches added, such as the miniature HESED necklace for each doll. It means a lot to have this kind of attention to detail. I feel valued and respected as a customer and will continue to use this site.

The Secret Garden
Welcome to my crazy little "Secret Garden". I hope you stay awhile and get inspired!
My latest project is transforming "Bratz" dolls into "Just K.I.D.S" I am really passionate about this project because 50% of the proceeds are going to organizations that help rescue children out of the sex trafficking industry. Similar dolls are selling for $200.00. I have decided to list mine starting at just $24.99 so that more mom's and grandma's can afford to buy them for their daughters.
I work full-time in law enforcement and my husband is in full-time ministry at senior centers and assisted living facilities. We live in a 520 square foot, 1964, single-wide, mobile home (Yep! Now that's down-sizing). I have no fancy studio; but somehow manage to continue to pursue my artwork. The husband is very supportive and for that I am very thankful.
History of my etsy shop creations:
In 2011 I opened my shop with hand illustrated suede and sheepskin boots, coats, gloves, vest, and jackets. The line of wearable art was called, "Wear The Word". My creations are so much more than just a fashion statement. This art form is a fusing together of three of my passions: theology, art, and fashion design. To me, creating art that can adorn a wall or brighten up a living space (which I spent many years doing) is wonderful; however, to create art that can hit the streets and go with a person as they walk through their day, takes art to another level.” It actually helps break down the barriers between strangers and sparks great conversations around deep and meaningful topics that may have never otherwise occurred.
One of the most unexpected and exciting developments was when "BEARPAW Shoes" selected me to kick off their international "Creative Expressions - Home Grown Project" Campaign. I did over 11 designs on BEARPAW boots that were seen internationally on their website and in their local store. My favorites are the toddler sized boots which make me wish I was a kid again. You've got to check them out!
In April of 2014:
We moved into a 1964, 520 sq foot, mobile home to be closer to mom as she faces the challenges of aging. There is no room to create and store jackets, boots, and handbags; so, I started a line of glass art pendants. My customers have been delighted! Especially with the personalized portrait, pet, scripture and name pendants. These are gifts that can be cherished and passed down to future generations.
As always, it is my customers that challenge me to really stretch myself artistically by asking for unique wearable art based on their vision. I invite you to read my review section. I would love to hear from you, as well.
