I’m Stephanie, a Rise Up Coffee addict and HUGE tequila fan who is just white-knuckling my way through motherhood. I believe heavily in karma, hate spiders and am terrible at returning texts.
You: “How bad can you be at returning texts?”
Me: Looks at phone and sees 210 unopened messages….

My daughter is Zoe- an avid gymnast who spends ALL of her free time either on the trampoline or educating herself about animals. She is not your average girl…. she’s totally the type to go skateboarding in her tutu. Her dream is to become a herpetologist.
You: “What the heck is a herpetologist? Sounds like the study of some pretty nasty
things.”
Me: “Don’t worry I had to look it up to. It’s the study of amphibians and reptiles. Didn’t
think you would learn something about science reading this did you?

I am a registered nurse by trade. I started my career as a NICU nurse where I spent 10 amazing years on the floor, but recently transitioned to provider and practitioner quality (where I’m able to work from home). I married my best friend in 2011 and welcomed our baby girl into this world shortly thereafter (one day I will tell you my birth story….it will scare the HELL out of you)

Zoe was born 11 weeks premature (the “nurse curse” is REAL my friends). She has had her ups and downs with medical issues over the years. In 2018, Zoe was diagnosed with PANDAS.
You: “PANDAS!!! Isn’t that a cute little panda bear?”
Me: “No, it is a terrible disorder that I do not wish upon my worst enemy. It is a life
altering, sometimes life-threatening condition that stands for Pediatric Autoimmune
Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus (mouthful I know).

Zoe quickly escalated to a super scary place, and we found ourselves fighting for her life. She required medical treatments that insurance did not cover and a world-renowned specialist that almost took selling my soul to the devil to get an appointment with. But I would do absolutely anything to save my baby, she is my entire world!!!

Our friends, family, community, and total strangers rallied around us to support the emotional, spiritual, and especially financial burden we were casted with. With their help, we were able to give her the help she so desperately needed. My gratitude is unparalleled for each person in our tribe…. If you’re reading this, THANK YOU FROM THR BOTTOM OF MY SOUL!!!

I can honestly say she has made a (pretty much) full recovery- from the super bad things that is. She has occasional flares here and there but nothing we can’t handle.

We have always wanted to give back and find ways to help others just as those who helped us. This is why we started @thezoeprojectshop! Our mission is to create “Projects for A Purpose” where proceeds go to a monthly “Do Good” service. Whether that is buying someone’s groceries, purchasing a family dinner, helping someone pay their bills, or buying our social media followers coffee. We all need help from time to time, and our vision is to put a smile on a face, one person at a time.

We started this small business in June 2021 right at our kitchen table. You can only imagine what my kitchen looks like. I will paint a picture for you….TORNADO with beads falling out of the sky. But, we enjoy every second of it! It is a way for our family to give back, while funding Zoe’s gymnastics tuition and doing something together as a family.

This project has taught me so much in such a short amount of time. Especially to NEVER underestimate myself. If you’re still reading this… I am totally rooting for you too, NEVER give up on your dreams and I promise you I will forever be one of your biggest supporters!
