Announcement Did you see us at a show? Was there something you wanted on our table but don't see here? Good news! I have it in a box here in my workshop, just let me know. Did you want something custom made? We do that, too. Thanks for buying handmade from a couple of nerds.

LOVE the Neverending Story decal. Originally we were going to use it to decorate the top of a television we were turning into a bed for our daughter's service dog. But, Pineapple turned out to be a very large girl, and the television was not long enough. So, we put the decal on the wall above the spot for her bed. It looks amazing, and we love it. Thank you again for the custom size.
Day of the Doodles - Genius or Evil Genius?
When a lifelong illustrator, historian and dungeon master marries a crafting mad scientist and signmaker, you get Day of the Doodles. A converted closet becomes a design studio, and suddenly every bit of bare wall space is used to hang wet screen prints. There is a method to the madness for sure, but it’s more art than science.
Morgan and Erin Carmichael are a husband and wife team that enjoys making silly things, then selling those things to silly people both online and at various comic and fantasy conventions and local markets. They live in western NC with a three-legged dog and make all of their doodles, screen prints, stickers and signs by hand, one at a time, in their small closet workshop.
In late 2013 DotD went green, and no longer uses solvent-based inks or paints. With this change and a few others, DotD can recycle 95% of any workshop waste produced.
Their interests include being loud, being up late, comic books, general profanity, ramen, bad blues riffs sung at the dog, and river crawling
Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator
Erin is a sign maker. She is not, however, very good at writing about herself. She has been making signs and art professionally for the last decade. Erin is a workaholic, a great cook, and the dog loves her best.
Owner, Designer, Doodler
Morgan is a pretty gifted illustrator, a fantastic storyteller, and dungeon master extraordinaire. Morgan is in possession of a mighty beard and a lust for croissants, and is getting pretty damn good at Rummy. The cat loves him best.
We try to keep things simple, if you have any questions about our work or policies please just let us know. We are happy to announce that DOTD is a green workshop, using post consumer recycled base materials and producing 100% recyclable waste. Our screen prints are produced using water based colorfast inks, and no emulsion or cleansing chemicals of any kind.
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
Day of the Doodles accepts Paypal, Etsy gift cards and all major credit/debit cards.
b. All signs are carefully wrapped in brown paper then shipped in a flat cardboard box without a packing slip or receipt. Many of our items are sent as gifts, and we don't want to ruin the magic for the recipient. If you would like your receipt included in your package, just let us know.
Refunds and Exchanges
DOTD asks that if you ever do receive a replacement metal sign for one that has been damaged in transit, that you'll consider recycling the damaged sign, as it is 100% aluminum and easily recyclable.
