I found a pair of REALLY CUTE blues jeans with sparkles on them that were 6 sizes too small....

AND I said--- I need to do something fabulous with them! I made my first blue jean purse. Then I thought of all the hundreds of things I could make with recycled blue jeans....and my dream has just snowballed from there! I have continued from my passion with blue jean upcycles to t-shirt upcycles, girly dresses, and other items. I don't know where to stop or sometimes where to begin. My work just continues. :)
I recycle old blue jeans and T-shirts into all kinds of crafts, accessories, and wearable art. Denim is such a durable fabric and can be recycled/ upcycled into so many fabulous items! I love to create new clothing, and handbags.
I am a woman of many talents. Besides my love of denim I love to knit and crochet. Please see my store for a variety of interesting finds.
I also will do custom work so please feel free to convo me if there is something specific you have in mind. :)

Don't be afraid to ask questions before purchasing. I try to include every detail about my items and hope the pictures depict every detail. I will even make note if the color appears different in the photo.***colors are sometimes very difficult to show perfectly in photos!! I am not a PRO photographer, but i am working to become better in order to portray my items more professionally to my customers so you know exactly what you are getting. I do want to keep my customers happy though so please contact me if there is a problem with your order and I will make arrangements to clear up the issue.

My other policies are as follows:
*For made-to-order items I will let you know when you order what my current wait time is. Contact me before hand if it is a RUSH item and will let you know if I can accommodate your request.
*Once I have started your item----If you choose to cancel your order you will only be entitled to a refund of 50% of your payment. This covers my expenses for supplies and time spent.
*If you have a problem with your item: please contact me so that I can make it right!!
*There will be NO REFUNDS on CUSTOM orders unless I have made a massive error on my end. YOU MUST CONTACT me and discuss with me. I am human and I do make mistakes.
*I will NOT issue a refund or make a new item if it is clothing and does not FIT because you failed to read the sizing information correctly, if you give me incorrect measurements, or if your child had grown during production time. I will do my best during the design process and through communications with you to ensure we get a proper fit. So please read and measure your child to ensure a proper fit.
*I am fair and honest, but please understand, I work very hard and I an running a business. I cannot refund you for an issue that is NOT my fault. *I will NOT issue a refund if the item has been worn or washed.
*As with all hand made items they should be handwashed in cold water (or on gentle cycle and air dried. They may be fluffed in the dryer on low and removed immediately. ***Any other questions please feel free to ask*** I'm pretty easy going. :)
I try to ship as soon as I can! If you place an order at 3pm and I'm headed out the door before the post office closes I will do my best to get your items shipped the same day! I say 1-3 business days but in all honesty, unless "life" happens I will have your items shipped within one or two business days! I try to ship as soon as I can. Please be patient...I'm just a normal business woman, but also a mom and wife, living my life too!
Also--sometimes shipping may seem a tad bit expensive, but -- I always add tracking because I like to know where my package is until it is delivered! I try to keep my shipping costs fair and reasonably close to actual cost. There may be a little extra in there to include packaging, my travel time, and gas to the post offices, but not too much. I do NOT generally add insurance unless you ask me to, or if the item ships priority and is automatically included. If there is a major overage noted on my end, I will happily refund.
Custom orders may differ in shipping time, some orders will require production time so convo me first if you need to know how long it will be for your custom order to be made. :) If you have a deadline to be reached ie: a party, wedding, or other significant date, please let my know in advance of ordering so that I know you need the item in hand by this date and I will be happy to let you know if this is reasonable.
Additional policies and FAQs
All my items are handmade by me and no one else. Please expect that handmade crafts sometimes have minor imperfections.
I strive to keep my items high quality and generally will tear something apart and recreate if its not perfect! But working with recycled or upcycled materials has its challenges. Please keep this in mind when purchasing items.
Also- many of the items I upcycle come from various homes and places. Sometimes they contain scents from other detergents and households. I pre wash all of my upcycle materials in dye-free, perfume-free laundry detergent before working with them to remove other scents. (I have sensitive people in my house too). Sometimes I wash 2-3 times to remove smells and not all can be removed sometimes but I do my best! If there is an issue with a certain fabric, I may note this if I notice it. I will generally pre- wash vintage fabrics before sewing with them, but I do not always prewash my new fabrics. ONE SHOULD NOT ASSUME that I have done so. Use color cathers when you wash them just in case.
My items are created in a smoke free home, with 2 dogs. Sometimes I may wash items after they are completed (this does not mean they have been worn, it just means I'm keeping then clean!) and store them in airtight containers to ensure no animal dander gets into the fabrics. I do my best with this!
**I also heat my home with a wood stove in the winter. My sewing room is in my basement and everything is also stored there. In general, this area is not heated by the wood stove and usually does not contain any smell. However, I tend the fire and sometimes my clothing smells like a campfire--- then I go to work on my sewing items. I am unsure if the camp fire smell may or may not transfer. It is possible. So this is just an FYI.... Should not contain smells but may. One last part of this: every so often I do bring some fabrics upstairs to work on items when I have to. So items may be upstairs within range if the stove for a short time. Again, I am unsure of smells within the fabrics but I do my best to make sure they don't. I have NEVER had any complaints of the wood stove/ campfire smell in my clothing items, but I just want to make SURE my customers are aware that I DO NOT SMOKE. If there is by chance a residual odor from my stove it WILL wash out--- it is not from cigarettes.
If you receive fabrics containing any kind if smoke smell please know that I do not smoke, nor does anyone in my house... and I keep clothing away from all that.
I want you to be satisfied! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. :)
