Announcement   ***BUY 3 OR MORE PATTERNS AND GET FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING!***

Things Found specializes in vintage sewing patterns from the 1940s - 70s but also carries vintage clothing, lingerie, knitting patterns, other book and pattern pdf's, and notions coming soon!

**Purchase 3 patterns and get free domestic shipping!**

I've separated the shop by decade and added links to similar bust sizes within item descriptions. If you're looking for something specific (peter pan collar, bateau neck, peplum, etc) or would like to search by size, use the search bar at the top of the page.

If a pattern doesn't come in your size, there are several pages online which can show you how to resize the pattern to fit you. Here's a favorite: http://sensibility.com/tips/how-to-resize-a-pattern/

I have a huge queue of patterns I've yet to post from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s so feel free to message me if you need something specific.

Get alerts when the store is updated!: Etsy makes it easy to subscribe to RSS Feeds; scroll down to the bottom of the sidebar, under 'Page Tools' click 'Subscribe to shop feed' to keep updated.

Please read over item descriptions carefully, I want to make sure that you know and like what you're getting. Don't forget to view my policies page and other items before you buy and thanks for looking!

I loved shopping at ThingsFound! I so enjoyed browsing through the great vintage patterns and found two that I couldn't resist: a fantastic vintage pattern for an amazing 1950's apron and a vintage crochet pattern for a very cute hat and purse combo! The crochet pattern was in .pdf format, so it was sent immediately, opened cleanly and was an excellent scan. It was easy to read and print with a lovely large colour picture of the finished project. The apron pattern was an actual paper pattern and it was sent quickly and was very well packaged for shipping so it arrived safe and sound in great condition. Both items were exactly as described in their listings and I couldn't be happier! I know I'll be back for more vintage treasures from ThingsFound soon.

Things Found is a store I'm starting in effort to keep a stay-at-home-and-sew lifestyle. Feel free to message me about any items listed. Right now I'm focusing on vintage patterns mostly from the 40s through 70s, however occasional 30s patterns will be posted.

A few vintage garments are listed in my store - be on the lookout for more in the future. For garments I use the following measurement guidelines:

BUST is measured from underarm to underarm, taken laid flat (unless there are some tricky darts) and doubled.
WAIST is measured across the natural waistline or waist seam of the garment, taken laid flat and doubled.
HIPS are measured at the fullest part of the garment or 7" below the waistline, taken laid flat and doubled.
SHOULDERS are measured straight across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
LENGTH (SKIRTS/PANTS) is measured from the top hem to the bottom hem
LENGTH (DRESSES/COATS/TOPS) is measured from the highest part of the shoulder to the bottom hem

To make sure your item will fit, you'll need to add an inch or two of ease on top of your own measurements (more or less depending on the style) or measure a similar clothing item that fits you well. According to Adele P. Margolis, a fitted dress will have at least three inches of ease in the bust, half inch in the waist, and two inches in the hips - I find this is helpful to keep in mind.

The dress form I use has the following measurements:
Bust - 34"
Waist - 24"
Hips - 33 1/2"

Contact me if you need any additional measurements, and remember vintage means some expected wear to the item, unless the description says otherwise (ie; mint)!
