Jennifer was fantastic to work with! She totally "got" our vision, and was very patient with us as we worked to pick out the perfect fabric! The baby blanket was a huge hit with the mother-to-be. Her work is beautiful and she's awesome work with for custom creations. Thanks, Jennifer!!

I purchased this quilt for some friends of mine and everyone LOVES it!! It's gorgeous in the pictures but even better in person. My friends LOVE the bright colors and told me they have used it every day. ThisStitchOfMine was very easy to work with and made this transaction a very positive experience. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

About

Our stories

One of my favorite memories growing up is lying on the couch, snuggled under one of my Nana's crocheted afghans, and reading from a stack of books I had recently gotten from the library. There was security and warmth under those afghans. The stories took me away to a thousand different places. I spent hours and hours under there.

Now that I'm a mom, one of my favorite times of the day are when I am snuggled in a bed or on a couch with my children, reading out loud some of those same stories. Going thru the wardrobe into Narnia, traveling in a covered wagon with Ma and Pa and Laura Ingalls, following the various escapades of Frog and Toad. . . . it really doesn't get much better than this.

Unfortunately, the crocheting gene passed completely over me into my daughter, so I knew I would be unable to wrap my beloved children in the warmth and comfort of an afghan that I made myself. . . I needed something different. I chose quilting.

Quilts make perfect sense to me. They all tell a story. Some tell a specific story, with pictures actually sewed into the quilt. Others tell a story with the colors picked, and the way the patches are sewed on. My quilts won't tell a story to the rest of the world, but to me and my family, they remind us of our story.

My hope is that my quilts can also remind you and your family of parts of your stories. Picnics in the backyard. Snuggling under them with your loved ones watching your favorite team. Reading stories under them until late in the night with your children. Listening to your grandparents' stories of long ago, while they are kept warm under them. The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for joining me here. I look forward to many more "stitchings" with you.
