All our products are handmade from scratch -- no pre-mixed bases or blended oils. They are all-natural, effective, and environmentally friendly.

We love to live locally, and use use locally sourced and organic ingredients whenever possible. Our butters are unrefined and/or raw. Our essential oils and carrier oils are steam distilled, expeller pressed, or cold pressed. They are never obtained with the use of solvents or other chemicals.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Items on sale

CUSTOM ORDERS:

Custom orders are not refundable. No exceptions will be given to this policy.

ALL OTHER ITEMS:

Refund or replacement is available for other items in our shop. In the case of consumables such as lotion or tea, you must return a reasonable amount of the item in question. (For example, you cannot exchange a half-empty lotion container for a full one.) You must request a refund/replacement within 30 days of delivery.

If the return is because of a change of mind on the customer's part (e.g., the fragrance is as described, but not to the customer's liking), the customer is responsible for return postage. If the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., we sent the wrong item), we will cover the cost of return postage by the least expensive USPS postal option.

PRICING ERRORS:

We retain the right to cancel (with full refund) any orders resulting from pricing errors, whether in item listings (e.g., listed for $3.99 instead of $399) or shipping charges (e.g., the shipping calculator charged $1 shipping, when it should have charged $10).

We accept credit and debit cards via Etsy Direct Checkout.
Shipping
Our shipping charges reflect the cost of postage plus packing materials. We are happy to expedite shipping; however, additional shipping charges will apply.

USPS Delivery Estimates:

First Class / Standard Post: 3 - 8 business days
Parcel Select: 2-7 business days
Priority: 2 - 3 business days
Priority Express: 1 - 2 days, including weekends
First Class International: 7- 30 business days

(Please note: Many essential oils must by law be sent by ground mail, and so cannot be expedited. See individual listings for more information.)

OUR COMMITMENT:

We are responsible for shipping the correct items, within the indicated time frame, to the postal address you provide at checkout.

YOUR COMMITMENT:

Buyers are responsible for providing the correct shipping address, and for choosing a shipping method that matches their needs (e.g., selecting express delivery if an item is needed quickly).

Postage DOES NOT include country-specific customs fees. International buyers are responsible for any international import duties, customs fees, tariffs, or taxes levied to the delivery address they provide. If an order is not picked up from customs, or is refused entry to the buyer's country (e.g., the buyer purchased an item that may not be imported, or declined customs fees), we will refund the cost of any non-perishable items minus shipping once we have received the returned shipment.

SAFE USE POLICY:

As is common sense for all personal care items, please use caution when applying our skin care products for the first time, and use them for the purpose for which they were intended. In other words, it is prudent to keep them out of your eyes, away from young children, and to not eat or inhale them.

In a similar way, people can react very differently to plant products, including those generally considered safe. Be aware of your own individual sensitivities before using them.

Who Turned Off the Lights is not responsible for reactions to our products due to allergies or sensitivities to our ingredients, or due to consumer misuse. Many of our products contain nut oils and other natural ingredients to which a reaction is possible. Should you experience adverse effects, please visit a dermatologist, allergist, family doctor, or emergency room, as your condition dictates.
