I grew up watching my mother and grandmother crochet everything from the tiniest thread to plastic bread bags. I spent years crocheting with yarn -- lots and lots of afghans. In an effort to challenge myself, I began crocheting with thread. Now I'm hooked, and the doilies are piling up.

Doilies don't have to be old fashioned. Let's do something new with them. I will crochet the doilies, and you can use your imagination and creativity to turn them into something modern and one of a kind.
