About

Original hand-crafted prints, full of character, vintage in style, bringing a smile to your face.

I've always been interested in producing black and white illustrations, and my printmaking was a development of this. Initially I produced Christmas cards for my friends using lino and a cheap cutting tool; then I joined a local Print Studio; and in 2009 I decided to buy my own printing press. This has meant I've been able to keep improving my skills and experiment in new areas, such as colour linocuts. Having a press means I can also run workshops from home.

I consider myself to be a wildlife artist, and many of my wildlife prints are based on birds and animals I have seen both locally and abroad. However, I'm also inspired by everyday life; for example, I developed my baby illustration collection after becoming a mother. I also love to produce beautiful pieces, simply to feature as decorative wall art, such as my poppies and daisies prints. Finally, fairytales, nursery rhymes, traditional stories, and fables, such as the Tortoise and Hare, never cease to be a creative source.

I set up my Etsy shop a few years after I started selling my handmade prints locally. The nature of printmaking means that you produce multiples. To my delight and surprise, people wanted to buy them - and I realised that to make this easier, I needed to have an online presence. I love the international aspect of Etsy and the fact that my prints have ended up in France, Canada, the Netherlands, USA and the UK of course.

Shipping
Items are shipped at least twice a week with Royal Mail, although if at all possible, I will try to post the orders the day after. They are posted First Class within the UK, and via airmail if they are being shipped abroad. Items are not insured as standard - however, I am happy to send out items by 'Airsure' if this is the preferred option. Please contact me for details. I am also happy to bundle items together to save on shipping. Again, please contact me for costs.

If there are any problems with shipping in terms of the item being damaged or lost, then please let me know and I'll arrange for a replacement to be sent out.
Refunds and Exchanges
The prints I produce are printed by hand and so turn out differently every time and so will look slightly different to the print in the photograph displayed on Etsy. I am happy to email a preview of your print in advance so that you can see exactly what it will look like. I want you, or whoever will be receiving the print to be delighted with your print, so I would prefer that you ask for a preview of your print to avoid any surprises or disappointments! I'm afraid I do not offer exchanges or refunds, unless the item is damaged or lost, in which case a replacement will be sent out as soon as you let me know.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am very happy to take requests for commissions for a linocut. The price will vary according to the number of hours spent on producing the design and cutting the lino. I am also interested in selling prints in bulk to shops and other outlets.
