Note from shop owner UPDATE December 20, 2021:

The highways linking the interior to the coast are opening slowly, but shipping trucks are dealing with heavy winter weather. Due to the increased traffic, the normal holiday postal overload, and a personal loss, I am keeping the shop closed until the new year (likely mid-January). Thank you for your patience and kindness. A bright and beautiful 2022 to you!
…………………..

As of November 15, 2021, there has been a collapse of the highways system between the interior of British Columbia (where I am located) and the coast, where our main postal hub is located. While Canada Post can still transport via some of their air carriers, we have no idea what the impact of the highway blockages and outages will have on the timing of packages being shipped. Because this is a ‘wild guess’ situation, as far as how long shipping will take, I don’t feel comfortable leaving the shop open and having items in transit for weeks on end.

I am therefore making the decision to put the shop on vacation through the end of November (and possibly to the end of the year, if necessary). If you are deeply in need of something, feel free to message me and I can chat with our local post office and see if there is a time frame for shipping that will work for you. As of now, it’s completely unknown how the postal service will navigate this challenge, but things will change as roads slowly open up. (If a road opens, and regular postal service resumes, then I'll be happy to re-open the shop.)

Thank you so much for supporting my shop this year. It is a privilege to make items for you, that you put to use for your magic, pleasure, or healing. Best wishes, safety, and joy to you this holiday season.

With sincere appreciation,

Jen

Shipping
**AS OF 2021 - Due to the UK and EU now requiring all businesses selling to their citizens to collect and submit VAT (as well as pay a fee and register to collect VAT on those countries’ behalf) I can no longer ship to any UK or EU countries. I’m very sorry, but a small business like mine simply cannot afford the time, energy, and fees required to jump through those hoops.**

Because some of our products are of a heavier nature and several are housed in glass jars, we want to ensure the item gets to you in good shape. As such, we ship our items well wrapped, in padded envelopes or in boxes.

Three Cats and a Broom makes every effort to ship 2-3 business days after your order is received. All shipping is provided by Canada Post and parcels over 2kg will be sent via surface transport in order to keep the costs of shipping to a minimum. If you would like expedited shipping, please message me directly and I'll price out a faster delivery service.

Canada Post does offer a small parcel service via air transport to the USA for any parcel under 2kg and I will use this service whenever possible to expedite the delivery process. Generally, this service delivers your parcel within seven business days. **please see addition information below**

USA & International shipping: please note that on the rare occasion that customs holds up your parcel, the customer is responsible for any customs/duty fees incurred therein.

Please message me directly for international shipping rates (outside of Canada/USA) as I prefer to get an accurate quote from Canada Post for you.

Additionally, for international orders: some countries have restrictions on certain herbs/plants crossing their borders. Please be sure you can legally import the herbs listed in our ingredients before you order. Thank you!

Please note: shipping prices have increased for 2019 to match current Canada Post shipping rates.
Additional policies and FAQs
As of August 19th, 2020 I have received the first report of USPS running very slowly. In the past, all Air Mail packets I sent would only take five business days to get to their US destination. This lengthened to an average of eight business days this year, due to Covid19. The USPS is going through a distressing slow-down of services and now packages are taking much longer to arrive.

PLEASE do take a moment to consider if you are willing to wait for your parcel to arrive *before* you place an order. All orders are still created, packaged, and shipped within 2-3 business days of receiving them, but until something is done about the USPS situation, please be prepared to wait at least two weeks or more to receive your parcel. I can send items via an expedited option but that will triple the cost of shipping, and with the USPS situation it could still take two weeks to arrive.
