Gewoon de droom leven...
Just living the dream...
A few years ago I kept complaining to my husband, The Brit, about the little camera that I had. I tend to have shaky hands so needless to say my photos sucked! That year he bought me a "big boy camera" (his words, not mine) as he knew I loved the idea of taking quality photographs and selling them. Since then, I've been unstoppable. On trips around the world (Alaska, the UK, the Caribbean, different parts of the US, etc.) I have been able to take photographs that I love including ones of wildlife which is my preferred subject. I also like to be a passenger in the car and stick my camera out the window screaming "ART!" (ala Andy Torres on Cougar Town) to see what shot I'll get. 95% of the time that doesn't work great, but every now and then I'll get a fun image I want to share.
Along with my love of photography I have great enthusiasm for using photos I've taken as the basis for artworks; both digital and otherwise. With the programs available today for creating or working with art pieces I've found that there is a multitude of variations that I can make on any given piece. I especially like the look and feel of classic art techniques that I can create as well as the ability to erase it via my computer's delete button if it doesn't work. That's serious artistic freedom.
