L'arte e l'artigianato sono sempre stati una mia passione, con esperienze passate che includono il truccabimbi e la creazione di gioielli fatti a mano. Un anno, io e mio marito ci siamo cimentati nel disegno di magliette per i nostri figli, un progetto che ci piaceva molto, ma che poi è passato in secondo piano perché ho intrapreso la carriera di assistente all'insegnamento.
Cinque anni dopo, la nascita del mio secondo figlio mi ha spinto a riconsiderare il mio equilibrio tra lavoro e vita privata. Le difficoltà nel conciliare lavoro e cura dei figli mi hanno portato a rivisitare le mie radici creative, offrendomi l'opportunità di lavorare da casa mentre mi prendevo cura di mio figlio. Questo periodo mi ha anche dato una grande ispirazione per il design.
La mia prima vendita di successo su Etsy è stata la maglietta "Dancing Queen", originariamente disegnata per mia madre da indossare a una serata tributo. Il feedback positivo che ha ricevuto mi ha incoraggiato a pubblicarla su Etsy, ed è diventata rapidamente un bestseller! Da allora, mi piace moltissimo progettare e creare nuovi articoli. È stato un percorso entusiasmante che unisce il mio amore per la creatività alla praticità del lavoro da casa.
Arts and crafts have always been a passion of mine, with past endeavours including face painting and handmade jewellery creation. One year, my husband and I ventured into designing t-shirts for our children, a project that was enjoyable but eventually took a backseat as I pursued a career as a Teaching Assistant.
Fast-forward five years, the birth of my second child prompted a reevaluation of my work-life balance. The challenges of juggling work and childcare led me to revisit my creative roots, providing an opportunity to work from home while caring for my son. This period also sparked a wealth of design inspiration.
My first successful sale on Etsy was the Dancing Queen T-shirt, originally designed for my Mum to wear to a tribute night. The positive feedback she received encouraged me to list it on Etsy, and it quickly became a bestseller! Since then, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the process of designing and creating new items. It’s been an exciting journey that blends my love for creativity with the practicality of working from home.
