Jewels, stones, gold-- why have they kept my interest since childhood? Humans have been creating adornment for centuries. My deep interest in languages and cultures has exposed me to a rich variety of jewelry through the centuries to the current time. And my interest in gems and stones grew right along with these interests in ways people decorated their abodes, clothing, and bodies. Husband Duane and I have dug sapphires, garnets, & agates for decades. It is now time for me to "make something of it," as they say. Hence the shop, Tiaras N Jewels.

Since the 1980s I have been making jewelry and casting items in precious metals. When my "real" work life got too pressurized, I took a hiatus from creative pursuits, always with the intention of coming back to it. Recently retired, I am exploring the joy of being in the shop again.

Working with silver and gold and stones and jewels is an ongoing learning experience. An artist friend invited me to express my artistic message to her. Well, as you can see by my motley crew of ETSY listings, my message is EXPERIMENT, TRY IT. Perhaps over time I will settle into a more cohesive expression, but for now--I live for the joy of the latest piece. My life is enriched by my teachers through the years, my current and future customers, and my continued curiosity through every aspect of my life. Thank you for sharing the adventure with me.
