In 2014 my sister and her fiance were planning their wedding ceremony with the help of their amazing officiant, Alisa Tongg (http://www.alisatonggcelebrant.com/). They decided to incorporate the Celtic tradition of Handfasting into their ceremony as a way to add another personal touch to their nuptials.

However, they were unable to find a cord for the ceremony that they liked, so they asked if I would make one for them. After doing a bit of research, I made my first handfasting cord.

A few months later, I was approached by their officiant, Alisa Tongg, who asked if I would be interested in making more handfasting garlands. I have always had a love for creating things, and my passion for beautiful, unique wedding details was ignited while I was planning my own wedding in 2012.

I realized that there are probably other couples out there who may be having trouble finding something that matches their aesthetic and their vision for their ceremony, and decided to try to provide more options for the increasingly popular tradition of handfasting.
