About

A passion for history

As a historical reenactor, costuming is my passion. As I looked to recreate clothes from the past, especially from some of my favorite portraits, I found it difficult to find the correct trims and notions to create the correct look. To solve this problem, I learned to make them myself using historical methods.

Over time, I have been able to experiment with different processes, materials and patterns and learned to make a wide variety of trims. All my tapes and trims are hand made using historically accurate weaving techniques, so you know you will get a strong, beautiful product perfect for your purposes - from trimming costumes to lacing your corset! I am pleased to be able to offer these products in custom colors, widths and custom sized lengths, so you no longer have to deal with that odd extra half yard of trim, or laces that clash with your gown.

In addition to what is offered in my store, I love a challenge! If you have a specific trim you need, I am happy to work with you and try to make your dream come true.
