Our Story
It all began in a small coastal workshop in Timaru, where our founder spent his childhood watching his grandfather melt down scrap brass and hand-cast tiny animal figurines to sell at the local market.
Grandfather would say that brass carries the warmth of fire and the weight of memory, and each figurine he made held a little piece of the natural world he loved. He would spend hours shaping frogs mid-leap, rabbits pausing to sniff the air, and birds ready to take flight, pouring patience into every curve and detail.
When he left us, we inherited his old casting tools and a notebook filled with his hand-drawn sketches. We decided to carry on his quiet legacy, turning these small, heartfelt creations into something the whole world could hold.
Every single one of our brass animal figurines is still cast the way grandfather taught us: poured slowly, finished by hand, and left to develop a natural patina over time, just like the stories they carry. We hope when you hold one of our pieces, you can feel that same warmth and care that first started this story all those years ago.
