The Sun - large postcard drawing

I love artists who think science is cool!

My Etsy story goes back to 2006 when I joined the site (under a different shop name) For years I've been selling my own art here, unless a hiatus a couple of years ago. Why the break? I didn't stop making art but I moved across the country from London to Scarborough on the Yorkshire coast. And I opened a GALLERY! So exciting! Grejczik Gallery in Scarborough is a teeny tiny art gallery that exhibits artists who love science.

So my Etsy shop is now some of my own work, some of my fossil collecting, and illustrations that I do for my gallery, Grejczik Gallery. You see, while I show artwork by other artists in the gallery the back wall is a giant chalkboard. (because I'm really about 4 years old in my head) So for every theme I do my own giant wall-sized illustration. These become prints and postcards!

So for my gallery has exhibited 4 Etsy artists from far and wide plus myself: atomicart (San Francisco), drawingindark (Whitby), and immortallongings (London).

I love making art. I'm a full time artist and create both geology inspired drawings and large scale colourist paintings that involve my physics degree. On my "days off" (what's that?) I like to go to various beaches and bays here on the Yorkshire coast and collect fossils. Obviously, until I live in a rock cave I don't have nearly enough room for all the fossil bits I find. So I can offer them with art! I thought they'd be perfect gifts for highly cultured geeks like myself. ;)

Yorkshire is known as the other "Jurassic Coast" in England and ammonite arms can literally be found by the dozen some days. I am a member of the Yorkshire Geological Society, the Open University Geology Society, the Institute of Physics, and various art organisations. I also give public talks to art or astronomy groups about art and science combined - the history of science topics in art, how things like rock pigments and the colour spectrum are relevant to artists, or just why an artist would want to study science.

**Please note my home is not pet-free, but my pets are dinosaurs... er, I mean reptiles. So no need to worry about hair, fluff, dander, etc.**

Welcome to art and science from the Yorkshire coast!

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment due at purchase. Cancellations taken per EU Trading Standards - you can cancel for any reason within 14 days of receiving the item. If I have already shipped the item a refund will be given after the item is returned (at buyer cost unless product is faulty). I am not VAT registered so NO VAT is charged at checkout to any customers.
I ship original artwork within 2-3 days but will let you know if I'm away from the studio and it'll take a tad longer. All shipping is 1st class or airmail.

I process print orders via a 3rd party art printer. These are sent directly from the print and I will 'tick' your item as shipping when they have confirmed shipping. This can be after a 2-3 day processing time. Art prints are shipped locally, meaning USA orders come from the USA and UK/European orders come from Europe. To save you time and import fees! :)

If you need super fast shipping please let me know and we can arrange a special invoice for an upgrade - this can be about an additional £15-20. (sorry, darn those international courier rates!)
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund or exchange within 14 days of receipt. (14 days to let me know, I realise it will take longer to send back.) Original artwork is a tricky thing with computer screens so there may be some slight colour variations but most of all I want you to be happy! So please let me know if you aren't for any reason and we'll work it out.

I follow all UK/EU trading standards so your rights are not superceded by any statement on this page.
