About

Geology rocks! Art is cool too.

I like making art. I'm a full time artist and create both geology inspired drawings and large scale colourist painting. This year I also opened Grejczik Gallery, a teeny tiny physical art gallery in Scarborough that specialises in showing work by artists that combines both art and science.

GeologyArt also has a dragon on staff. (so not a pet-free shop but she's the only beastie)

On my "days off" (what's that?) I like to go to various beaches and bays here on the Yorkshire coast and collect fossils. Obviously, until I live in a rock cave I don't have nearly enough room for all the fossil bits I find. So I can offer them with art! I thought they'd be perfect gifts for highly cultured geeks like myself. ;)

Yorkshire is known as the other "Jurassic Coast" in England and ammonite arms can literally be found by the dozen some days. Plus I've studied geology with the Open University and am a member of the Yorkshire Geological Society and the Open University Geology Society - taking part in walks/talks regularly. I also give talks to art or astronomy groups about art and science combined - the history of science topics in art, how things like rock pigments and the colour spectrum are relevant to artists, or just why an artist would want to study science.

    Owner, Artist, Rock Hammerer

Artist and fossil gatherer. Combining my loves of art and science in one little shop.

  • Mort

    Customer Service

Mort (short for Mortbreath) is the bearded dragon in charge of customer enquiries. I do, of course, screen her replies before they're sent. She has great people skills but tends to always steer the conversation to crickets near the end.

  • Squeaky

    Motivator

Squeaky does just that... he squeaks. Keeps me on task. He also overlooks all printing and shipping. (since he sits by the desk)

  • Darwin

    Quality Control

Darwin the inflatable dinosaur makes sure all the fossils are cool. He looks at the dozens I bring back from the beach and chooses the best ones for the gift sets.

Welcome to the Yorkshire coast rocks and seaside!

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I accept payments through Paypal - and you can pay as a guest in Paypal so you don't need to be a Paypal member. Looking at Etsy's built in Direct Checkout, so keep an eye out for more payment options soon.
Shipping
I ship most items within 2-3 days but will let you know if I'm away from the studio and it'll take a tad longer. All shipping is 1st class or airmail.

International: please note that you may be responsible for import duties and customs. I cannot pay or determine all these charges in advance. Thanks for understanding.

Original artwork is duty-free to many countries (including the USA) but normal tax (VAT or sales tax) could be due on arrival.

If you need super fast shipping please let me know and we can arrange a special invoice for an upgrade - this can be about an additional £15-20. (sorry, darn those international courier rates!)
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund or exchange within 14 days of receipt. (14 days to let me know, I realise it will take longer to send back.) Original artwork is a tricky thing with computer screens so there may be some slight colour variations but most of all I want you to be happy! So please let me know if you aren't for any reason and we'll work it out.

I follow all UK/EU trading standards so your rights are not superceded by any statement on this page.
