Painting pages to enhance your shelf & reading experience
I have a love affair with stained pages on books. I fell in love thanks to Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and I have never looked back. After watching some YouTube tutorials I decided to give it a shot, and honestly, it did not go well. The painters tape I used tore chunks off the book cover, I tore a lot of pages, and the paint job didn't really suit the book as well as I hoped it would. I rethought my process and gave it another shot. I had much better results the second time, and I've never looked back! I'm always happy to chat about how I paint my books and encourage anyone with an interest to try it themselves. It's a lot of fun, and I find it really therapeutic. I'm so happy I can share my artwork in this way. I really do find I have more fun reading books with painted pages!
