I love vintage shadow boxes. They're so charming when filled with tiny little treasures.
Rawr! Found this vintage tiger cub at an estate sale this afternoon. He's a Russian Lomonosov, here in the states all the way from the USSR.

Seeing the Sacred in All Things

First, a bit about the name of my shop. I was sorting through a box of vintage postcards, train tickets and other ephemera one day when I began to think about how these items weren't just discarded pieces of paper, but sacred little things: stories, memories and expressions of love. A few days later when I decided to open a vintage Etsy shop, the words "tiny sacred things" kept running through my mind, and I had a name for my store, even though I sell sacred things of all sizes.

On weekends I go to estate sales and thrift shops looking for old, unusual and adorable items. I love rusty whatnots, found objects, miniatures and animal figurines. Lately I've been drawn to small ceramic vases-- it's soothing to walk slowly though the garden with my little basket and scissors, snipping blossoms and leaves to fill them up.

My love of vintage continues to grow. When I need something new for my own home, like cereal bowls or a table lamp, I just can't bring myself to go to a department store and buy it new knowing that there are so many beautiful and well crafted ones waiting to find a new home.

Thank you for visiting. Please convo me if you have any questions or just want to chat.
