About

Tiny Tank Tech

Tiny Tank was a bike touring name a friend gave me at the top on a 3 mile 6% grade incline. I blew out my knees but we only had two more days to go so I kept riding... I do not recommend this!
The features I have included in my designs are those that I personally would like out of a bag or have had other bike commuters/touring folks convey to me. The main compartment is typically made of a PVC polyester with pockets and accents out of wax canvas and then they are all lined with a waterproof ripstop material. Obviously I can make them however you like though. I try and incorporate any recycled materials that become available to me but I always want to make sure that these items can hold up to the elements. I'm pretty rough on my gear so I assume others are as well. As far as closing and fastening goes I ususaly stick with a roll top design {like a dry bag} and side release buckles. This is so that if something does happen to break it can be easily repaired. I have had many requests for zippers which I can make in custom orders, just ask. I'm just trying to find the smartest way to ride your bike with solutions for every problem .. or excuse. All suggestions or criticisms are 100% welcomed and appreciated!
I make everything myself in a spare room out of my house and hand wax all my canvas in the carport.. tedious but a nice mind melt at times. I try and ride some distance with each new bag with some weight to test each one, even if just to the beer store and back.
These bags can be modified for cargo bikes, scooters, motorcycles, trikes, wheelchairs etc. so if you want something custom just contact me. I love a challenge!
Thanks a million!
