HANDMADE LAPLAND SAMI BRACELETS & JEWELRY SINCE 2010.
The Scandinavian indigenous nomadic nature folk's craft - Pewter Embroidery on reindeer leather.
All designs can be ordered in 30 different leather colors, with embellishment with spun pewter-, copper- or 14k gold-filled braids ... and of course in your size.
PEWTER EMBROIDERY HAS BEEN PREVALENT AMONG THE SAMI PEOPLE, SINCE THE 1600s.
In the 1800s it went a little into oblivion, but was revived in the 1960s, where also the manufacture of the special spun Sami pewter thread, became more mechanical. Before it was manually drawn through smaller and smaller holes in a piece of reindeer antler, and then handspun around reindeer tendons.
Today, only a few in Lapland, still produce the authentic spun pewter-, copper- and gold-filled thread.
I CREATE MY DESIGNS, EXCLUSIVELY WITH THE ORIGINAL MATERIALS FROM LAPLAND IN NORTHERN SWEDEN:
* Vegetable tanned Reindeer leather or Lambskin.
* Spun Pewter thread (with 4% silver), spun Copper thread and 14k Gold-filled thread.
* Handcut Reindeer antler buttons, from natural shed antlers.
Also;
* 14k Gold filled, Sterling Silver, Copper and various Gemstone beads.
I BECAME FASCINATED BY THIS NORDIC CRAFT, when I, many years ago, found an old Swedish book on 'Sameslöjd', and taught myself to create these unique pieces of jewelry, by studying old books, booklets and photos. I love to create new designs.
I HAVE MORE THAN 12 YEARS EXPERIENCE, AND HAVE SINCE 2010 SOLD TO 45 COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE WORLD.

5 out of 5 starsTechnically I didn't need customer service, but I've communicated with Lisbeth with my orders for years. I love how warm and friendly she is, and how helpful if there are questions or changes. Lisbeth is a master creator, having made a dozen bracelets (and a few chokers) for me in the last decade. Her eye is good, and her work is fantastic-- perfection. There's a lovely rusticness to the button closure, yet even though they are hand-cut, even the buttons are "just right". PS Over time the pewter coils wear slightly, flattening out and getting shinier. It's not a flaw, but a feature!

Sizing details
BRACELETS: Please measure your wrist and add 1 cm (0.4"), for a perfect snug fit.
NECKLACES/CHOKERS: Please measure your neck and add 1.5-2 cm (0.6"-0.8"), for a comfortable fit.
The soft leather will stretch a bit in use, over time.
Care instructions
My Sami jewelry requires no special care, but should be removed before showering and bathing.
The spun wire braids will flatten in use, over time, and get a more polished look, which only will add a nice patina to your 'Piece of the North'.
Bracelets and necklaces with black copper braids, will if scratched and/or worn daily over a long time, expose some of the natural copper underneath the black color. That can actually look very appealing.

As every item are custom handmade to your order (except in the 'ready to ship' sections) and take from two to many hours to complete ... and that 50% of the sale price of my products is costs of materials, plus fees and expenses for the sale ... my wholesale prices is as follows:
