tochka & tochka is an art & design studio established in 2007. We create porcelain aesthetics for beautiful people. “We” stands for Rada Dicheva and Kalin Valchev – Rada is the designer and creator while Kalin takes care of shipping, customer service and (when needed) the heavy lifting.
We believe that beauty is much more than our physical appeal – beauty manifests itself in the lives and the surroundings we design for ourselves. That’s why you can find our products at the intersection of art and design – aesthetic objects with utilitarian everyday purpose.
Rada often finds inspiration in seemingly unrelated objects on the street or in everyday life that become the starting point of experimentation. This is how most items are born – in series inspired by the artistic perception of a particular object or topic. The minimalistic flavor of Rada’s designs puts the accent on the details that carry the essence of the design concept.
Every item is personally designed and hand-casted by Rada and then fired in an electric kiln to 2200° F / 1200° C. Each casting is made individually and you can discover the minor features in the texture of your item that marks its artistic authenticity.
We try to create items that bring pleasure when used and can also be enjoyed when idle. Our greatest satisfaction comes from your appreciation and happiness so we hope we make you smile!
